  1. Oh, ha, the attachment is there but apparently it's not accessible to everyone, figures. Here you go: https://www.dropbox.com/s/zc3ykggid8lfi4a/2%20Player%20Bartop.zip?dl=0
  2. Hi @MonstroMart, good point on those features. You're correct that you can't customize those in the non-premium version anymore. The added options are a lot more flexible but they're premium, so they're unavailable in the free version. I hadn't thought of that, to be honest; my apologies. I'll see how many people have an issue with it and if it's a common request, I'll come up with a solution.
  3. Hi all, the PSD files are attached. :) A few instructions I've received from Monster Arcades: - Use RGB mode in Photoshop - The images will be printed in 300 DPI - Remember that all edges will need to bleed and be cut out for printing Thanks! Let me know if anyone is interested in helping. :)
  4. Hey all, I'm working on designing a 2-player bartop arcade cabinet branded with LaunchBox/Big Box. We're ordering the cabinet itself from Monster Arcades: http://www.monsterarcades.com This is an example of the cabinet we're having built by them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XqVLsBNuBrQ We're building this cabinet for a couple reasons. One, I need a cabinet to play with that has LEDblinky support, to help with development and testing as I develop support for LEDblinky. We also intend to bring it with us to game conferences though to help show off what Big Box can do. So in a way, it will become our mascot. :) Hit us up here if you would like to contribute to the design of the cabinet. Monster Arcades will be hooking us up with PSD files we can use for the design. If you happen to be a skilled professional designer with a proven track record (and I can see your previous work), I would be willing to discuss payment. Otherwise, I would love to get some ideas/help from hobbyists and everyone else as well. I'll upload the PSD files here as soon as I get them from Monster Arcades. I should get them shortly. :)
  5. Drybonz, it should be recognized and be used just fine. Using the ROM file name for media has worked for a long time. Sure you put it in the right folder?
  6. FYI guys, the platform name "Arcade" is not what causes the importer to use the MAME metadata. What causes it is using an emulator by the name of "MAME".
  7. Hi @Drybonz, the new Scrape As feature is available under Tools > Manage Platforms. That's where you set the Scrape As value in order to download media.
  8. @paulmichel21 If you would, please create separate threads for those questions; that way we can keep this thread focused on beta testing. :)
  9. Hi all, a new beta is out, which should hopefully be the final beta before the official release tomorrow morning. I managed to fix forcing the MAME data for non-MAME platforms. Ultimately the issue was that we were always restricting the imported games to games that were playable in MAME, so if you imported Sega Model 2, for example, very few of the games would work in MAME so they weren't imported. Here are some related things to keep in mind: - If you're forcing MAME metadata for a non-MAME platform on import, be sure the option to "skip games unplayable in MAME" is unchecked, for obvious reasons - The new "Scrape As" feature has nothing to do with MAME imports. The way the MAME import process works is that it checks for "MAME" as the emulator; it doesn't care what the name of the platform is. The force MAME check box is how you override this, of course. "Scrape As" only applies when downloading metadata and images from the LaunchBox Games Database and/or EmuMovies. Thanks all, holler if you find something glaring before the release tomorrow. :)
  10. Thanks @CliveBarker and @AFaustini. I have everything updated and I'm putting out the final beta right now. Still planning on putting out the official release tomorrow morning. Clive, I chose not to translate the new image types for now. That way they map up correctly with the LaunchBox Games Database which doesn't yet have any translations. I know it's not ideal though, we can come back to it at a later date. :)
  11. Drybonz said If I set my arcade platforms to "scrape as" Arcade, I get no results when trying to download images from the database. I also tried scrape as Mame. Still no results. I have this on my list to look into. It seems like I broke imports for non-MAME arcade systems when I implemented all the new stuff for MAME. I'll look into this before the official release as well to see if it's an easy fix or if it's gonna take significant work.
  12. Drybonz said kmoney2315 said Hmmmm....very strange, I have yet to see that.I would try posting this issue over on the RL forums and someone will probaly be able to help you out. I posted about it a few days ago, they said it was caused by MAME... when I told them it didn't happen if I launched MAME without RL, they ignored me completely. Anyway... how would I remove the plugin? I suspect this is causing it somehow and want to rule it out. Unfortunately I think this is still probably a RL issue; I honestly have no idea how to solve it or where that error is coming from. Hopefully someone else in the community who has more experience with RL can chime in and help you out.
  13. bundangdon said With the latest beta, the 'coverflow' view is much better now, being smoother with even the 3d boxes looking more accurate than before However, I've noticed one small but very obvious problem. In 'coverflow' view, when you select and play a game, and then return to the games menu, it always brings you back to the beginning of the list. However, it doesn't do this with the other selectable views, which bring you back to the original game which was selected. (not the beginning of the list) I wasn't sure if this was ever mentioned or noticed before, but when you have a very large collection of games, it can be rather annoying to have to start from the beginning of the list again when you return to the games menu. Thanks @bundangdon, I'll see if this is an easy fix before the official release on Monday. :)
  14. Hi all, I've been waiting to focus on this until after we get the official version out. Ultimately the issue you guys are running into I think is that the editor(s) aren't able to reference the classes inside of LaunchBox.exe and BigBox.exe. UserControlStyle, for instance is part of BigBox.exe. So if we can manage to figure out how to get the editor to pull resources from LaunchBox.exe and BigBox.exe, then that should fix those issues. It may be as easy as copying those files into the same folder as the XAML files, but it probably depends on the editor. Shortly after the release on Monday I'll be looking into the best visual editor to use as well as hopefully doing a tutorial. I didn't want to do that stuff without making sure everything was nailed down first in an official release.
  15. Sure, thanks @arzoo. It's not an excuse as to why I haven't worked on it yet, it's really just been in competition with so many things. It's always easier for me to work on things that I'm passionate about though (of course), so my only point is that now that I have my own cab on its way, it's definitely going to happen soon. I'm probably not going to wait to integrate it until I get the cab.
  16. I have an LED-supported bartop ordered from Monster Arcades. Not sure how long it will take to get it yet but you can bet LEDblinky will be my top priority when I do. I'll probably work on it before I get it if I can, but it will be hard to test without the cab. I have a great upright cabinet from Rec Room Masters already but unfortunately it doesn't (yet) have any LED buttons. Sorry for the delays on this one guys. :)
  17. Hi @maximus76aus, had you customized your image folders (moved them outside of the LaunchBox folder previously)? We're about ready to put out the official release so need to make sure that everything is working properly. Sounds like something might have gone haywire here.
  18. New beta is out with the updated Spanish translation. Thanks @CliveBarker. :) Here are the release notes to translate for 6.3: Many new features for Big Box including background videos, platform videos, and custom views and themes! Images have been restructured to include all the types from the LaunchBox Games Database Easily switch between viewing boxes, 3D boxes, carts, 3D carts, screenshots, and clear logos @AFaustini @Wattoo @cyanjiang Thanks all! :)
  19. Another new beta is out. I spent all day working on the transparency problems with the CoverFlow and the wheel. WPF has a major issue with transparent 3D objects, which was ultimately causing the issue. The solution was to position the elements in the exact correct painting order (big pain in the rear but it's working now). The Spanish translation has also been updated in this beta, thanks to @CliveBarker. We'll call this our first release candidate. I've decided to delay releasing the German translation for this release. I may or may not fix the VLC video on first launch thing yet. :)
  20. Thank you so much, @Opaklopper. We'll go ahead with the release. :)
  21. Jason Carr said Opaklopper said Hey @Jason I discovered some new translation errors where i was quite sure i couldn't make such a huge mistake. For example, "Launchbox is downloading..." was translated to "We are asking our Community... Would you like to vote now". So i checked the old files and and compared them to the updated ones and found out that there went something wrong with files that aren't used anymore. Like the voting stuff. So before i just edit it i wanted to let you know, maybe this helps you somehow. Thanks @Opaklopper. I actually still haven't gone through and fixed stuff up yet, so I haven't made any changes to the translations yet. Was planning on hitting that up today, but if you found issues that need fixed, it would probably be better for you to fix them up and send over a new version, and then I can go from there. :) @Opaklopper any word on this? My apologies for all the delays from my end and everything. However, I'm thinking it might be best to push the German translation off for the next official release instead of 6.3, mostly because I really need to get 6.3 out. I can put out a beta shortly after the release of 6.3 with the German translation re-enabled and then we can work through the issues. @CliveBarker I'll get the updated Spanish translation into a new beta today. Thanks much. :)
  22. Godspeed Circo! ;) We're all going through withdrawal over here. :P
  23. Thanks all. Just put out a new beta that fixes lots of things. The videos should start back up now after returning from a game even if the loading message disabled. The previous beta also had lots of issues with the background videos not stopping (when playing a game for instance); that has all been fixed. Here is my remaining to-do list before putting out the official release: - Update languages (including fixing the issues with the German translation) - Fix VLC videos not showing up at first launch - Fix CoverFlow transparency issues I may or may not be able to fix the latter two issues before the final release, depending on how difficult they prove to be. The languages and language fixes are currently the top priority. :)
  24. I'm having a bit of trouble following, @slashguns04. Can you get it to work with the default theme first?
  25. ALIE said Question do all post now go through moderation? Is that Kirsten as well. Seems like a lot of work :) No, we definitely don't want all posts going through moderation. I think the permissions were just messed up for this particular forum. I've fixed it now...I hope. :P
