  1. Hi @martinconroy, that sounds like a pretty strange issue. I'm curious to know if the games you deleted would actually play (were they working in LaunchBox) before you deleted them. We use the exact same code to map the paths in both places, so it doesn't really make much sense, unless there's something strange I'm overlooking. Can you test to make sure that the games successfully play but really don't delete?
  2. Hi Swiss, I'm with you regarding being anal retentive. By far the best solution is to keep everything inside of your LaunchBox folder. I keep an Emulators folder inside of it, as well as a Games folder, along with everything else. This way you can move the whole folder anywhere and things should just work. :)
  3. Okay, those are EmuMovies connectivity issues. It looks like maybe EmuMovies was down. I thought they were back up from the outage but maybe they had a hiccup? That also explains the performance issues.
  4. Thank you Mike! I'll talk to Brad about doing a contest. :)
  5. Also I know the CPU spikes are related to the image caching. If you turn off the RAM cache I'm pretty sure it goes away. I did tweak/fix something with the RAM cache in 6.4-beta-1, so who knows, it could fix that issue as well.
  6. Yeah, I just fixed one of the silent crashes in the latest beta. They're of course the hardest to nail down. Unfortunately I don't see any attachments in your previous post though @DJQuad.
  7. Hi @DJQuad, what are the errors that you're getting for the import process? I've heard about the CPU issue before a long time ago but I've never been able to reproduce it. I assume it's only happening occasionally? Per the performance of the importer, I just checked my bandwidth graphs and things seem to be doing fine. Is it EmuMovies or the LaunchBox Games Database that's being slow?
  8. Apologies, I should've clarified. Click the Feature Request link in the header. :)
  9. Wow! Yeah, that'd be awesome, Stimpy. We can hold a contest on YouTube or something. :)
  10. Hey @DroidsRGod, sorry for the confusion here. Unfortunately I still don't have an answer for you as I don't know how to change where Retroarch stores saved games; I thought it was somewhere in the Retroarch folder but I'm really not sure without diving in and doing more research.
  11. Thanks much; that's really great to hear @spacegoatlhz. :)
  12. Hi @nutter1980, unfortunately there's no way to run an AutoHotkey script for a single game, currently. The AutoHotkey stuff currently only works on a per-emulator basis. Not sure if we have a ticket for this on Bitbucket or not, but feel free to create one so we can get that implemented eventually. Sorry for the trouble.
  13. Between Brad and I, we also plan to create a series of tutorials to help with the creation of themes as well as using them. So that is coming soon. :)
  14. Okay, if you are seeing some changes, then the problem probably lies with the theme itself, or missing videos or images, etc. So it would probably be best to get support for the particular theme in that theme's thread. Keep in mind that some of the themes were released for beta versions of Big Box so it's possible that some features might not be fully working with the official version. If that's the case it should be relatively easy to fix them, but we should talk with the theme creators in order to get them updated. :)
  15. spacegoathlz, I just tried with the latest release and had no issues changing themes. I'll need more details in order to help. First off, what theme are you trying?
  16. Thanks all, just put out 6.4-beta-1 which resolves some bugs that came in regarding 6.3. As usual we'll probably put out 6.4 here soon to fix those issues, so the earlier you guys can test this, the better. :) Also new in this beta is the two things we worked in the live stream yesterday: region parsing and deleting ROM files. Note that there is a checkbox in the general options in LaunchBox that needs to be checked, and then you'll be prompted to delete them when you delete emulated games. Also updated the French release notes thanks to @Wattoo. :) @ALIE, the region stuff wasn't available until this release.
  17. Should be flexible with colors on the t-moulding, so we can design that around the design once we have it built. Sounds great, @Rincewind, I appreciate it. :)
  18. Absolutely! Gonna surprise me with something Rincewind? :) https://www.dropbox.com/s/780bz7lnzxt2a1u/Huge%20LaunchBox%20Logo%20with%20Text.psd?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/2wpdw5rc81avjo3/LaunchBox%20Word%20Black%20Logo.psd?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/8r4dtwl4f6wso99/Big%20Box%20Logo%20and%20White%20Text%20Below.psd?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/tm3xkp6udxn92mq/Big%20Box%20Word%20Black%20Logo.psd?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/sis6nivki47hstb/Big%20Box%20Word%20White%20Logo.psd?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/kkxwewdte57rkas/BigBox_Logo.ai?dl=0 Not sure what you or anyone has in mind, but I would say don't shy away from videogame characters or anything of that nature. I'd rather have it be lively than professional-looking and boring. Not really sure how to incorporate the LaunchBox and/or Big Box logos with videogame characters though lol...
  19. Oh, ha, the attachment is there but apparently it's not accessible to everyone, figures. Here you go: https://www.dropbox.com/s/zc3ykggid8lfi4a/2%20Player%20Bartop.zip?dl=0
  20. Hi @MonstroMart, good point on those features. You're correct that you can't customize those in the non-premium version anymore. The added options are a lot more flexible but they're premium, so they're unavailable in the free version. I hadn't thought of that, to be honest; my apologies. I'll see how many people have an issue with it and if it's a common request, I'll come up with a solution.
  21. Hi all, the PSD files are attached. :) A few instructions I've received from Monster Arcades: - Use RGB mode in Photoshop - The images will be printed in 300 DPI - Remember that all edges will need to bleed and be cut out for printing Thanks! Let me know if anyone is interested in helping. :)
  22. Hey all, I'm working on designing a 2-player bartop arcade cabinet branded with LaunchBox/Big Box. We're ordering the cabinet itself from Monster Arcades: http://www.monsterarcades.com This is an example of the cabinet we're having built by them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XqVLsBNuBrQ We're building this cabinet for a couple reasons. One, I need a cabinet to play with that has LEDblinky support, to help with development and testing as I develop support for LEDblinky. We also intend to bring it with us to game conferences though to help show off what Big Box can do. So in a way, it will become our mascot. :) Hit us up here if you would like to contribute to the design of the cabinet. Monster Arcades will be hooking us up with PSD files we can use for the design. If you happen to be a skilled professional designer with a proven track record (and I can see your previous work), I would be willing to discuss payment. Otherwise, I would love to get some ideas/help from hobbyists and everyone else as well. I'll upload the PSD files here as soon as I get them from Monster Arcades. I should get them shortly. :)
  23. Drybonz, it should be recognized and be used just fine. Using the ROM file name for media has worked for a long time. Sure you put it in the right folder?
  24. FYI guys, the platform name "Arcade" is not what causes the importer to use the MAME metadata. What causes it is using an emulator by the name of "MAME".
  25. Hi @Drybonz, the new Scrape As feature is available under Tools > Manage Platforms. That's where you set the Scrape As value in order to download media.
