Gotcha, thanks @spycat. I think they'll still automatically be approved when the game is approved but I'll check to make sure.

Yes, I'm guessing that was caused by opening them all up as well. Go ahead and delete the items that don't have any English translations as they won't be used anywhere. Thanks again Opak.

Zombeaver said So I made a quick stop by the house to check these out in Big Box. As I feared from the get go, none of the scanlines are visible in Big Box, even at 150% scale. It seems like there's some serious downsampling and/or filtering going on for clear logos. I did a little digging in the options menu to see if I could find anything that would help, and noticed that in the "General" section there's a setting for "Coverflow Image Quality" which, by default, is set to "High (Slow)" but has a step above that - "Highest (Slowest)". As I kindof anticipated, however, this doesn't seem to have any impact on the quality of the clear logos. @Jason any chance of getting a similar option for clear logos? Pretty pretty please? If you want me to submit a Bitbucket ticket for that, I can. I know, I know... picky/OCD/anal/what-have-you... I won't deny it. These all look incredible, @Zombeaver! The problem with the scanlines in Big Box isn't because the image quality is reduced; it's just that they're a lot smaller in Big Box. Since the scanlines are so close together, there's no room in the image for the scanlines once the size is reduced. Unfortunately scanlines get hairy really quick when you reduce the size of an image and there's not really anything we can do about that. You could try spacing them out a bit more, but then it would look silly at the large size.

Alright, and now all previously automatically rejected games are being pushed through the moderation queue. From what I can tell, we are good to go now. Again, sorry for all the trouble. Glad there was no data loss. :) Of course, let me know if you guys run into any additional issues. Now we can go back to improving things. This latest deploy should include the platform changes.
-
I believe I have this fixed now guys, praise the Lord. As it turns out, all new games submitted to the database since I last deployed the delete games functionality were being automatically rejected. No one was even seeing them in the moderation process. It boils down to me being an idiot, basically, but what else is new. ;) So now my immediate task is to re-send all of these rejected games back through the moderation process. Thanks for bearing with me on all this.

Okay, I'm sorry for all the trouble there @Opaklopper. Thanks for sticking with it. Do make sure to use the files from the existing package though, of course (don't go back to an old copy of the files). That way it should keep the visual changes I made to fix all the forms.

Okay, thanks guys. I'll take a look at the closing issues for VLC in Big Box. @DOS76, well that's a new one, sigh. I have a feeling that is going to be extremely hard to reproduce. But I will try.

Thank you Opak. I just uploaded the latest files with the beta deploy so you should be good to download them from the link at the beginning of the thread. :)

I'm still on this guys, my apologies. The good news is that once I get it figured out I can fix these rejections. But yes, it seems like things are getting rejected improperly in some cases (without people actually rejecting them). This is my highest priority for this afternoon. I spent all day yesterday working on it though too, it's been quite a pain in the rear.

No worries @Opaklopper, I'm definitely not trying to blame for anything here. Sorry if I came across like that; was not my intention. The OptionsForm stuff should be good to go. The only issues that remain as far as I know is just the fact that the window titles are all set to Wilkommen. I remember when Clive was working on the original Spanish translation we discovered that if you open up all of the files at once, it causes some conflicting issues. So I'm guessing maybe that's what happened with the window titles? Unfortunately we learned that you have to open up each set of files individually in order to prevent stuff like that from happening. I should probably put a warning about this in the instructions at the beginning of the thread (I'll do that). So this is probably going to be a pain in the rear, and it's up to you whether you want to just put it out as-is or do the window title fixes, but I think what you would need to do in order to fix the window titles is to open up each set of files individually and change the "$this.Text" translation to be the correct value for that window.

So @kersey, do you see similar issues with Windows Media Player in Big Box? I'm wondering if maybe the videos you have aren't compatibility with Windows Media Player on your system or if maybe there's a faulty codec installed.
-
A new beta is out that I think fixes the issues with the VLC playback engine in Big Box, thankfully. Please test, all, and let me know. Also, for those that were seeing issues with Windows Media Player, I haven't been able to reproduce any of that so any details would be appreciated there. @kersey, to be honest I had no idea anything was happening in LaunchBox, I thought we were only discussing Big Box here. I'll take a look to see what I can figure out. Anyone else experience issues like that in LaunchBox?

Alright, new beta is out. @Opaklopper, I fixed the issues with the Options pages; those issues were caused by translation mismatches between the Strings file and the OptionsForm file. I can't remember if there's anything else I'm missing, so forgive me if I'm still missing a fix or two. The only other issue I'm seeing with the German translation is all the window titles. I made a few miracle fixes in this latest beta so I'm currently hoping we can put out the official release over the weekend. Hoping to get translation updates from @Wattoo and @AFaustini yet. Thanks guys.

Alright, new beta is out. Believe it or not, I think I've solved the VLC playback/audio stuttering issues as well. From what I can tell, the issues were indeed caused by VLC. Let me know how this version fairs for everyone who was having those issues.
-
Alright, the big issue that's plaguing me right now and delaying the 6.4 release is VLC video playback issues and supposed audio crackling. I think they are related, but some people are saying that it is happening for WMP as well. So that is what I'm currently working on resolving. Anyone who has good, clear details (or better yet a video) on those issues, feedback would be much appreciated on that. Thanks all.

Jazzphone said Jason Carr said New beta is out guys; I spent the latter half of my day fixing everything for the German translation and this morning fixing numerous bugs from Bitbucket. This beta also has the stuff from yesterday's live stream where we tackled the option to skip the game details screen in Big Box. I'm going to push out 6.4 here in the next few days, hopefully. Hi Jason, it seems the new beta broke controller automation and I can no longer exit games. I tried remapping keys but no go on that. I went back to beta 2 using my back up and all is well again. I've figured out the issue with controller automation; I caused it by trying to fix the issue where LaunchBox itself was closing as well with certain emulators. I have it all wrapped up now for the next beta which should be out later today.

kanonopc said When razer hydra is connected, launchbox scroll down automatically and don't stop, doing it unusable This problem happens when I connect a USB in the hydra. When I disable Controller suport, It stops. I think the problem is with razer hydra driver conflict, because launchbox recognize Razer Hydra like a controller Hi @kanonopc, you should be able to work around this by disabling the "use all controllers" option. If you force LaunchBox/Big Box to use only a single controller it should not be a problem.

shinra358 said With skipping details on with a button that can go into details (which is a feature I asked for years ago xD ), backing out of the details screen results in the music not playing. If the details has a video, the video turns off when you press the back button and then you have to press the back button again to get out of the details screen. Video still doesn't play when ur back in the games view. But actually it does, just the first millisecond of the vid then a couple secs pass and then that first millisecond of the vid plays again. The millisecond from that vid can be heard even on other games that dont have video periodically. Hi @shinra358, is this happening with both the Windows Media Player engine and VLC? Which one are you using?
-
No worries, so you mean the issue was happening with the previous betas as well?
-
Thanks @CliveBarker. I have the Spanish translation pieces updated for the next beta. Unfortunately I did have to sneak in a few additional strings into the Strings.resx file recently for the Big Box options reorganization. It's up to you whether you want to tackle those as well before 6.4; my apologies for that (if you do though you'll need to wait until the next beta goes out later today). 6.4 is taking a bit longer than I expected because of some annoying bugs that I'm trying to resolve. Sounds good @dukeemu. :)

Just to clear some things up, I've figured out that I messed up closing certain emulators with the controller automation in a beta 3 (or 2 maybe). I have it fixed now for the next beta.
-
Hi orac, you mean *without* the problems?
-
Does this seem to affect only the video sounds or the sound effects too? Other than the sounds are the videos playing properly?
-
Also, a couple random questions to try and narrow it down. Are you guys using background videos? Using the Skip Game Details option?
-
Is anyone able to create a video of this happening, with both WMP and VLC? This one is proving tough to figure out, as I still haven't replicated it. With VLC it makes some sense but with WMP I'm completely lost.
