  1. Gius3ppe said Hi everyone ! I'm not sure to understand the new LB "Region" feature. If I have a NES Roms Fullset for example and if I imports all files of this set, I can choose what region I want in my LB or all my roms are imported in differents folders and I can choose what game I want to play (Us or Japan...) ? In my 6.3 LB I have 2 Platforms : Super Famicom for my Japan games and Super NES for my US games. With 6.4 b1 Can I have one platform with every regions and play US games or Japan games whan I want ? Sorry for my bad English... Best whishes from France (Marseille) Hi @Gius3ppe, welcome. The only thing the new region feature does right now is populate the Region field on the games based on the region part of the file name. Then you're able to filter and arrange by the regions.
  2. CriticalCid said LB already downloads the artwork for all available regions. @Jason maybe LaunchBox should now automatically use the corresponding artwork based on the region in order to get the full potential out of this new feature? Because as of now it seems completely random which region cover LaunchBox shows me. Region priorities for ROMs which are multi-region or the World region would be nice as well. Agreed, Cid. We should definitely do that.
  3. Yes, assuming your ROMs are named with either the GoodSet or the No-Intro format. :)
  4. Putting out a new beta now that resolves the error that always showed up with the region importing, as well as allows you to cancel the process if an error comes up while deleting ROM files. The error now pops up with OK and Cancel buttons; Cancel will abort the process. This doesn't solve Martin's problem, though; I looked at the code and all I can figure is that the ROM paths are incorrect...nothing else seems to make sense. Let me know what shows up in the ROM path for those games, Martin.
  5. Hi @Antropus, not sure if you're aware, but I've gotten a few reports of this error after Lightspeed is used: https://bitbucket.org/jasondavidcarr/launchbox/issues/1179/key-error-on-launch It looks like somehow either duplicate platforms or duplicate game IDs are being created somewhere, which is ultimately causing crashes. I could make LaunchBox ignore it instead of error out, but then something would be missing from the collection, so I'd rather if we could figure what's causing the issue. Thanks! :)
  6. Really the platform paths shouldn't have anything to do with the problem, as the path is stored separately for each game. That said, it could be a relative path issue if you moved your LaunchBox folder, or something of that nature. If you edit one of the games, what does the game say for ROM path?
  7. Hi @martinconroy, that sounds like a pretty strange issue. I'm curious to know if the games you deleted would actually play (were they working in LaunchBox) before you deleted them. We use the exact same code to map the paths in both places, so it doesn't really make much sense, unless there's something strange I'm overlooking. Can you test to make sure that the games successfully play but really don't delete?
  8. Hi Swiss, I'm with you regarding being anal retentive. By far the best solution is to keep everything inside of your LaunchBox folder. I keep an Emulators folder inside of it, as well as a Games folder, along with everything else. This way you can move the whole folder anywhere and things should just work. :)
  9. Okay, those are EmuMovies connectivity issues. It looks like maybe EmuMovies was down. I thought they were back up from the outage but maybe they had a hiccup? That also explains the performance issues.
  10. Also I know the CPU spikes are related to the image caching. If you turn off the RAM cache I'm pretty sure it goes away. I did tweak/fix something with the RAM cache in 6.4-beta-1, so who knows, it could fix that issue as well.
  11. Yeah, I just fixed one of the silent crashes in the latest beta. They're of course the hardest to nail down. Unfortunately I don't see any attachments in your previous post though @DJQuad.
  12. Hi @DJQuad, what are the errors that you're getting for the import process? I've heard about the CPU issue before a long time ago but I've never been able to reproduce it. I assume it's only happening occasionally? Per the performance of the importer, I just checked my bandwidth graphs and things seem to be doing fine. Is it EmuMovies or the LaunchBox Games Database that's being slow?
  13. Apologies, I should've clarified. Click the Feature Request link in the header. :)
  14. Wow! Yeah, that'd be awesome, Stimpy. We can hold a contest on YouTube or something. :)
  15. Hey @DroidsRGod, sorry for the confusion here. Unfortunately I still don't have an answer for you as I don't know how to change where Retroarch stores saved games; I thought it was somewhere in the Retroarch folder but I'm really not sure without diving in and doing more research.
  16. Thanks much; that's really great to hear @spacegoatlhz. :)
  17. Hi @nutter1980, unfortunately there's no way to run an AutoHotkey script for a single game, currently. The AutoHotkey stuff currently only works on a per-emulator basis. Not sure if we have a ticket for this on Bitbucket or not, but feel free to create one so we can get that implemented eventually. Sorry for the trouble.
  18. Between Brad and I, we also plan to create a series of tutorials to help with the creation of themes as well as using them. So that is coming soon. :)
  19. Okay, if you are seeing some changes, then the problem probably lies with the theme itself, or missing videos or images, etc. So it would probably be best to get support for the particular theme in that theme's thread. Keep in mind that some of the themes were released for beta versions of Big Box so it's possible that some features might not be fully working with the official version. If that's the case it should be relatively easy to fix them, but we should talk with the theme creators in order to get them updated. :)
  20. spacegoathlz, I just tried with the latest release and had no issues changing themes. I'll need more details in order to help. First off, what theme are you trying?
  21. Thanks all, just put out 6.4-beta-1 which resolves some bugs that came in regarding 6.3. As usual we'll probably put out 6.4 here soon to fix those issues, so the earlier you guys can test this, the better. :) Also new in this beta is the two things we worked in the live stream yesterday: region parsing and deleting ROM files. Note that there is a checkbox in the general options in LaunchBox that needs to be checked, and then you'll be prompted to delete them when you delete emulated games. Also updated the French release notes thanks to @Wattoo. :) @ALIE, the region stuff wasn't available until this release.
  22. Should be flexible with colors on the t-moulding, so we can design that around the design once we have it built. Sounds great, @Rincewind, I appreciate it. :)
  23. Absolutely! Gonna surprise me with something Rincewind? :) https://www.dropbox.com/s/780bz7lnzxt2a1u/Huge%20LaunchBox%20Logo%20with%20Text.psd?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/2wpdw5rc81avjo3/LaunchBox%20Word%20Black%20Logo.psd?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/8r4dtwl4f6wso99/Big%20Box%20Logo%20and%20White%20Text%20Below.psd?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/tm3xkp6udxn92mq/Big%20Box%20Word%20Black%20Logo.psd?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/sis6nivki47hstb/Big%20Box%20Word%20White%20Logo.psd?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/kkxwewdte57rkas/BigBox_Logo.ai?dl=0 Not sure what you or anyone has in mind, but I would say don't shy away from videogame characters or anything of that nature. I'd rather have it be lively than professional-looking and boring. Not really sure how to incorporate the LaunchBox and/or Big Box logos with videogame characters though lol...
  24. Oh, ha, the attachment is there but apparently it's not accessible to everyone, figures. Here you go: https://www.dropbox.com/s/zc3ykggid8lfi4a/2%20Player%20Bartop.zip?dl=0
