  1. Still an issue, I just submitted a bug report on the bitbucket.
  2. I've been getting crashes consistently with beta 2 here. Two of the logs are below. I haven't switched my theme, it's still default, and I've made sure it's set to run as administrator FWIW. I found this pop up in other launchbox beta forums, given the google search results, but let me know if I should post this somewhere else, though. The calling thread cannot access this object because a different thread owns it. 3. Same thing happening here. I deleted the folders which the files were in and their entries are not getting removed. EDIT: I just tried removing everything in my platform and making sure I re-added everything as a ROM file and not as "None of the Above" or "MS-DOS", nothing was removed again. The only thing that should matter is the "Application Path", I would think, as it should be easy enough to check for the existence of a file or folder if given the full path of that file or folder. 4. I just submitted this feature request regarding font colors. Thanks!
  5. I know I'm literally years late to this but just figured it out. If you get clock unsetting error, press space to get to menu, arrows to get to " >CLOCK< ", "1" to confirm time and go back to menu, and "1" to go back to "game mode". Hope it helps.
  6. Still waiting for the ability to search the Notes field so people don't have to manually find what they're looking for if they don't know the title of the game already. It's been requested for a while in bit bucket, maybe next year....?
  7. Yeah something seems wonky with emumovies itself, I'm guessing:
  8. Is this possible? Is there a theme that does this? I can't seem to find this in the options.
  9. I'd like to give this existing feature request a lot more visibility - https://bitbucket.org/jasondavidcarr/launchbox/issues/4376/java-games . There's been a good deal of effort put into preserving these games that would have otherwise been lost forever. And it seems like a no-brainer, given that the "Radio 86RK Mikrosha"(?) - which has no games listed for it - has an entry, yet there's no DB entry for Java games of which there are thousands. Other requests for this to be included are here:
  10. Here's some examples of the search function's shortcomings. It doesn't come up with Blades of Steel after a simple search for "hockey". It does not come up with Baten Kaitos Origins when I search for "card" in Gamecube. Both have these terms in their notes/description. Now if I already knew all the hockey games for the NES I could search for their publisher, developer, title, etc. But I don't, hence I'm searching. I tried attaching screenshots but got server errors on both attempts.
  11. I posted this as a feature request before, https://bitbucket.org/jasondavidcarr/launchbox/issues/6428/search-by-notes-field-details , with some visual examples. The problem with the lack of searching through notes is that discovery is limited to what you can find in game titles and every other field but the actual description. So if you're searching for "hockey", you're not going to find 'NHL Hitz' in the search/filter. If you're searching for "mining", you're not going to find 'Hydroneer' in the search/filter. As it is, you need to go through and eyeball each and every title to parse them out. So inefficient. Please consider adding this.
  12. Does anybody remember being able to search notes? I could have sworn you were able to in the past, but now all it seems to search are all other detail fields (genre, title, etc). It was custom filters I think and I guess they were removed for performance purposes(?) Well if anybody actually wants to search all fields including description/notes, there's searching through the XML.
  13. Perhaps there's a setting I'm missing, but it appears Launchbox isn't searching for entered terms in the Notes field. Is there something I'm missing? Just in case I'll be creating a feature request, as this seems like something that would be very useful - I can't imagine adding a "mining" genre to all such types of games would be more efficient than just searching an existing field. And it would add even more value to the new dynamic filtering. I couldn't find this previously mentioned in either the forums or the repository site.
  14. Having the same problems, didn't want to create a duplicate thread. I've restarted and refreshed images, using the Default theme - won't change the views. Any advice? (on newest beta)
  15. Years late here, but if you're handy with Excel and have thousands of games on a platform, you can also CTRL+A, CTRL+C (select all, copy) the list view with a filename column and paste it into Excel. This way is a lot quicker for analyzing/reviewing information you can get from list view.
