I have no idea what device you have and what techloky is.

Arcade games are found in the Mame arcade rom sets which can be found if you google for pleasuredome mame.

You are correct.

You cannot do bezels in LB on its own, you either need to use an emulator that supports it such as Retroarch or Mame, use RocketLauncher or dive into Reshade.
Bezel support and a couple of other things that RL does was looked into adding to LB in the past but Jason deemed it to be too much of a hack job to do it properly so it was decided to not go forward with it.

I'm not the right person to answer that question. I only emulate arcade stuff using Mame to be honest. I'm sure others around here will have more information for you.

I already have Final Burn Neo, Sega Model 2 and MAME.
You don't need both FBN and Mame, just use Mame.

Your options are very limited and none of them are great.
-
Well you could buy an old 3DO and play the games on it but other than that, no, you will need an emulator to play them.
-
Make sure the check box for "extract files" is not enabled, that will prevent mame games from working.
-
Do you have a screen shot of what you are referring too ?
I don't see any icons or anything else on the bottom right when I load a game in Mesen.
You can check the emulators Options > Preferences > Advanced window to see if anything is enabled there that might be causing it.

Send an email to support@unbrokensoftware.com and the should be able to help you out.

There are guides here on the forums on getting Daphne working but in my experience it is such a pain in the ass and not worth the effort (IMHO), the games just do not excite me enough to go through that hassle.
-
Yes, it's possible but I couldn't tell you how to get it working.
If you just want Space Ace and the Dragons Lair games then take a look at the Wii version or Steam. Those will be much easier to setup.

No one needs to dig up a 6 year old thread that was last posted in 3 years ago with a pointless answer.

Buying emulation boxes is never a good idea, they are scams.
Mame can be one of the trickier emulators to get running because you really want to match the rom set and emulation versions to each other and you want to have a complete set if you are new to it.

If you don't have a full Mame set don't use the importer.
Import the games you do have like any other normal system.
I would advise though since you are new to emulation that you either source a full set from "the pleasuredome". Or you make sure your roms work with the version of Mame you have before importing.

Did you import only the cue files of your disc images ? Or did you import the bin files as well ? You want the cue files only imported and being pointed to in LB.
-
My mistake, this is a recent feature and not one I realized was now a thing.
-
LB cannot install and uninstall games. It can only import the games you have installed through those launchers into LB.
-
This is so needlessly complicated.
We have a couple of NeoGeo rom copy batch files here on the forums in the downloads section that are far more simple if you felt you needed to have duplicate roms on your drive. On top of that you can just use Mame and a simple command line parameter to start the games in AES mode.
aes %romfile% -bios usa

1. How do I get a newer, more functional mame (in other words updating it) while still being able to use the roms I have?
You don't.

MadK9 is correct.
If you know the version of the rom set you have then you can download that version of Mame from the Mame website.
If you want the latest Mame you will want to download the version of the rom set to go with that to ensure the maximum compatibility. -
The speed difference will depend on the number of games imported and the size of the xml files. On top of that you have to take into consideration just how much you value those few seconds of loading time of LB. For me the few extra seconds of load time does not matter at all and because of my smaller library and limited images the responsiveness of LB / BB is still really smooth and snappy but if someone has a large library like 50,000+ games and all the different media types then the SSD speed might be worth more.
