  1. Hi All - Does anyone have the Rocket Launcher bezels that Simply Austin uses in his videos? Or ones that are similar? I like the ones he made because they do not cut off the top or bottom of the screen, they only fill up the "dead space" on each side. I'm looking for those or some similar. I've seen a lot of really nice bezels but they seem to cut off the tops and bottoms. I know Austin has links to his media packs but I would rather not download 1GB of media just for the bezel art. Any help is appreciated!
  2. I used the ArcadeGuns as well and I never was really comfortable with it working when I needed it to. It would enter calibration mode or have miserable accuracy. Honestly, your best bet is a WiiMote with a Dolphin Bar in the "Mouse" mode. You don't need to do any configuring at all and you can just slip the WiiMote into different housings. I switch between a simple handgun case on Amazon and the Cabela's Big Game Hunter case. Soooo much easier than an ArcadeGun
  3. Thanks guys, I just did it directly in MAMEUI and it is working
  4. I see rompacks for the Atari Jaguar CD but I can't seem to find an emulator. Is it the same retroarch core that does regular jaguar? Thank you!
  5. I use the controller for all of MAME - I will check out the UI settings. It was the same issue in RA emulating MAME. I am using MAMEUIFX. Same issue with no nag, high score as well.
  6. Hi Guys, I have it (as most do) where if i hold start and then press select on my 360 controller it closes the emulater and goes back to LaunchBox. This works for pretty much all systems except MAME. Is that normal? Thank you
  7. Not sure if this should go in the troubleshooting forum but I'm having "trouble" so... Basically I have Commodore Amiga all setup running perfectly - If anyone wants to know how, just watch Simply Austin's video and then use RocketLauncher as the emulator in LaunchBox. - The issue I'm having is that the only romset that works with Amiga emulation is the WHDLoad set. - The WHDload set does not have the best rom names - Many times they are abbreviated or have version numbers and languages in the zip title. - When loading the roms into LaunchBox the emu movies sync works well and pulls down all the art and videos available because thats the naming convention Hyperspin uses as well. - The LaunchBox database however does not pick up on the games because of the inconsistent titles. - Since the LB database doesn't pick up the games I have no shown cover art and the game names are shown as the file names. Is there anyway to do a mass match or sync of some sort? Like I said, Emu Movies knows the correct titles, its the LB Games Database that doesn't. As always, thank you.
  8. Anyone have High Score working in MAMEUIFX? I found some quick tutorials online but wanted to check to see if anyone has it working or if it isn't worth the hassle to figure it out.
  9. Thank you. I'm still having a little trouble with CHDs because I can't find an update pack to save my life. I can't even a torrent or full CHD pack for .173. So basically I now have a fully updated from set at .173 (thanks to your tutorial) but an outdated CHD set at .161. If I could find update packs I would do that but since I cant seem to, is there a way to run a check to see which specific CHDs are outdated? This way I could just get them individually. Least amount of hassle would be a full .173 CHD set but as mentioned I can't find one. As always thank you for the advice
  10. Thank you. Last question. Do the update packs also update the CHDs or do I need to get different update packs for those? Can I update my Roms without updating my CHDs or without a complete CHD set? Thank you again
  11. Thank you. I use notepad ++ all the time for xml, in and cfg so that method makes sense. Thank you!
  12. Thank you so much for this I am going to try and update my MAME 161 to 173. I have downloaded every update pack in between (161 to 162, 162 to 163, etc..) At step 12 can I select each update pack folder and do the entire update in 1 process or do I need to repeat this entire thing with every update pack? Thank you again!
  13. Currently I have MAME setup in Launchbox and when I added the roms they were in a folder called [ALL ROMS] I just downloaded a new pack and am updating to .0173 and want to put them in a folder called MAME .0173. How do I direct LaunchBox to my new mame roms folder (the emulator isn't moving, just the roms)? Since each rom has its own path is there even a way to update all of them at once? Your help is appreciated. Thank you
  14. I have RA as the emulator in LB, not RL. I don't know how to make RocketLauncher work in LaunchBox. So basically RL was changing the RA cfg file and RL was still able to launch games no problem but RA and LB could not.
  15. Ok I figured it out - this is a little nutty... Essentially RocketLauncher changed the MAME settings in the retroarch-core-options.cfg file. The correct settings are: mame_read_config = "disabled" mame_write_config = "disabled" mame_saves = "game" mame_auto_save = "disabled" mame_mouse_enable = "disabled" mame_throttle = "disabled" mame_cheats_enable = "disabled" mame_alternate_renderer = "disabled" mame_softlists_enable = "enabled" mame_softlists_auto_media = "enabled" mame_media_type = "rom" mame_boot_to_bios = "disabled" mame_boot_to_osd = "disabled" mame_boot_from_cli = "disabled" For some reason RocketLauncher changes mame_read_config and mame_boot_from_cdi to enabled. No clue what I will do other than I guess have a separate RA setup just for MAME? I also use Hyperspin which is why I have rocketlauncher set up.
  16. OK so I use RetroArchfor MAME. Everything was running perfectly. Then I setup RocketLauncher and setup Retroarch with MAME in RocketLauncher. Now for some unknown reason RocketLauncher can luanch MAME games no problem through RA - But if I try to launch from RA directly or through LB it closes immediately. What the hell could be going on? So again, RocketLauncher can launch MAME games through RetroArch no problem, but If I try to launch a game from RetroArch directly or LaunchBox using RetroArch it fails. Any tips are appreciated.
  17. This saved my life! I spent 4 hours trying to figure this out till I found your tutorial. Do we need the batch file to get the games to load? I know in RocketLauncher it loaded without any special configurations - Just pointed it to the roms folder where I have the .txt files.
  18. For those of you using RL, could you screenshot your "edit emulators" screen in LB so I can get a look at the default command lines while I play around on my end? Thank you
  19. Thank you, the word "conflict" threw me off and I was worried that there was something wrong with my paid license. Thank you for everything you guys do. Love the videos and frequent system updates!
  20. Hey Guys, I just noticed that I have a LaunchBox exe file named "LaunchBox (Jason-PerByte's conflicted copy 2016-05-03)" What is this and why do I have it?
  21. The Simply Austin videos show how to use xpadder and shows the games that do have native controller support. The issue with emulators/games that don't have native controller support is that you'll need to use xpadder (or something similar). In those cases LB isn't capable of loafing an xpadder profile when you load a specific game and then close it when you're done. That's where RocketLauncher comes in because it does do that (as well as other things).
  22. I have seen some older posts of people using RocketLauncher but wanted to check in to see if anyone is still using it with LaunchBox and what their thoughts are? I am thinking about using it because it can open/close xpadder profiles per game. I need that for some Taito Type X games that don't have native controller support as well as other emulators. It would also give me the flexibility to run any front end I want without needing to "build" from scratch.
  23. Hi All, I have an emulated arcade game that can only play with keyboard keys. I've purchased and set up xpadder with my xbox 360 controller and it works perfectly. My question is around only using it when needed. Currently xpadder puts itself in the system tray and always runs, which means if I open another emulator my controller may not work properly. I know it can be shut off but that's a pain. Is there a way to only have it run when a specific program is running? I see stuff in the setting but it isn't immediately clear. As always, thank you!
  24. Thanks guys. I like Project 64, but it never seems to remember the USB control mapping.
  25. Anyone know how to save games in Mupen64 for RetroArch? I was using Project64 with USB Nintendo64 controllers, but it got annoying that almost every time I plugged them in I needed to reconfigure them - So now I am just using Mupen64 with the XBOX 360 controllers which seems to map well. Thank you.
