Yes in LB as well. I had a Platform Category called “Genres” with all my Gebre playlists and one called “Playlists” with the others.
Those categories don’t show up in LB or BB. When I go to create them, it says they exist already. But i don’t see them.
I forget version numbers but I check updates every day. So I updated from last version to most current. I updated about 2 hours ago.

Playlists disappeared from BigBox in the main Platform Category view?
is this because of nesting to something? I had an entire category dedicated to Genre and Playlist that are now gone.
I try to add a category called “playlists” and it says one exists but it shows up nowhere. I spent hours building out playlists and organizing them. I’m really hoping the beating update doesn’t just wipe away all the settings we previously had.

I would also add an easier way to sort platforms and playlists - editing the sort name in each one becomes cumbersome. I would love the ability to drag and use arrows (like when prioritizing images).

Thanks guys! I am going merged with merged CHD

Hi All, I’m upgrading my Mame set now that LaunchBox rolled out the new import.
I know the technical differences between merged and non merged, what I want are people’s opinions of which I should use.
I don’t really care about the disk space, I care more that games work and work well with LaunchBox and the mame emulator.
thoughts?

Hi All - Is there a way to search my collection for games that did not match against the launchbox database? I would like to do this for quality control reasons. For example some of my PS1 games have (v 1.0) next to them and launchbox doesnt make the connection. So I manually go through and match them to the database.
The list view would be perfect for this but i do not see a column for Launchbox ID.

I would LOVE to see the ability for a theme to use both game clips and game themes. Themes on the wheel view for example and the game play clip on the game details view

Hi All - I have Super Game Boy up and running directly from LaunchBox. I would love to run it through RocketLauncher. Does anyone know the settings? This is a crazy hassle and I've spent hours trying to figure it out.
I have RetroArch set and the core set. I am guessing I need to have RocketLauncher send a custom command line - I just have no idea how to do that.
Any help would be appreciated!

Hi All,
I spent a few hours reading multiple threads and couldn't find a tutorial or even some tips on how i would take the newely released Exodos collection and import it into my own LaunchBox with RocketLauncher.
Has anyone done this? If so, can you throw a couple of steps together on how I would do this? I am currently running them in the standalone LaunchBox instance they came with, but i would obviously like to import it into mine (which uses RL).
Any help is appreciated!

Figured as much. What tool did you use to do all the renames?
I wish - I rename everything manually

RocketLauncher needs stuff to be named the same as the rom file.

In the xml folder, there is a merge.bat file that creates the ms-dos.xml
I'm the first torrent there is an adventure.gam and adventure.app file needed to build the adventure list and an RPG.gam file needed for the new list. If you have both, it will merge them.
So I copy those .gam files to the xml folder and then run the merge.bat file?
Thank you for everything!

I ran it on the separated downloaded files I had in another folder, then just copied the data over to LB, namely the MS-DOS.XML into DATA\platforms, and the images and manual folder into Launchbox folder, and the EXODOS folder itself (the one with games in it) into the launchbox folder. Haven't been able to try it yet, but it all looks correct, file wise...we'll see soon...
That's what I did. The XML was tricky because I had to combine them. I might have done something wrong because when I just copied the XML over it was only the new games, not the total games. Then there was a merge bat file. Needless to say it works but i don't have the original XMLs anymore.
What I do not have any clue how to do is bring all of this into my current LB install. I have an entirely different LB setup running just for ExoDos.

Can someone please share just the xml file for the 2 packs that have been uploaded? I did the merge and a few other things and screwed it up like a dumb dumb

Sorry if I missed the answer to this. Are we able to import this into our existing LaumchBox setup? Or do we need to use the LaunchBox instance that is bundled with it?

Hi all, I checked PD and don’t see the file. Is that where it will be uploaded or should I be looking elsewhere? Thank you!

MSX2+ logo is perfect! Thank you! The c64 logo is too thin so it looks a little weird in my platform list
-
Hi All,
I am looking for 2 platform logos that I cannot seem to find.
I am looking for Commodore 64 and Microsoft MSX2+.
I don't use ring logos or anything like that, just normal clear logos. The only c64 one I can find is neon and I cannot seem to find any MSX2+. If anyone has these I would love a copy.
Thank you!

Yes, rocket launcher loads the game from a playlist as if it was from the original platform. So every single arcade game has the same fade and a game bezel. Meaning Konami classics for example won’t have its own fade or bezel.
I have an nes classic playlist, I would love for it to have its own fade and bezel when games are loaded from that playlist, but if the same games are loaded from the nes platform it would use nes fade and bezel.
-
Hi All,
Is there a way to convert a playlist to a platform?
im asking bevause I use RocketLaunch for fades and bezels. RocketLauncher does not see playlists at all which means I cannot have custom fades or bezels for any playlists.
Can I just move the xml to the platforms folder or something?
i don’t want to screw with anything without knowing what would work.

Looks great, what games do you use for super gameboy? Are they games specific to that or basically just a subset of your gameboy games?
-
I wouldn't rename to something nonstandard - i would basically swap the name vertical list view 2 for vertical list view 1. I asked in beta and it seems jason specifically didnt have bigbox remember the view for the secondary theme when it switches - which is why i am hoping i can rename the view to make it work.
-
Hi All,
I do not know anything about xaml or how these themes are built.
I am curious, can i just rename the file for the specific view?
I am asking because i have an NES classic playlist and i am using the classic mini theme for it. I use the city hunter theme for my main theme. In city hunter i use vertical wheel 1 and the classic mini theme i use is vertical wheel 2 - big box defaults to the same view of your main theme, even when you switch to a new theme for a platform/playlist.
If i could simple rename the classic mini view i am using to the same view i use in city hunter then everything would flow nicely.
any help is appreciated - thank you!
