  1. Yea sounds per theme and even sounds per platform would be amazing.

Mario sounds for Nintendo platform and sonic for Sega would be amazing.

The more modular things get the better. Really gives us all the ability to make the build our own.

  2. Loving the different themes for different platforms. Should it remember the games view of the new theme?

Meaning I use vertical wheel 2 in city hunter and 1 classic mini. But when I switch back and forth it keeps the view I was on instead of switching back to the specific one for each theme.

  3. Hi All - Does BigBox allow for different sounds per theme? For example, if I am using the classic mini theme i want to use the classic mini soundpack, but if i am using a different theme i would want to use a different soundpack - is that possible? Or do all of the sounds come from the main LaunchBox sound directory?

    Thank you!

  4. Hi All - Do I need the cue file for 3D0 games using the 4D0 core? Right now I have the ISOs loaded and running in LaunchBox but I am seeing that I also have .cue files and I am not sure if they are needed.

I'm asking because I am renaming my files to clean them up - If i need cue sheets then i will need to open each one and update the actual file itself. If not, i can delete the cue and just rename the iso file itself.

    Any help is appreciated!

  5. Is it possible to use both the game theme and the traditional game video snaps? The example would be use the game theme video when in your games view list but then when you go to game details it would use the video snap and not the game theme video. Does that make sense? Is it possible?

Is this something @Jason Carr needs to develop? I think having the ability to use both videos files would be amazing.

  6. This is amazing! Can someone help me tweak the code just a bit?

I use the Nosh banners as platform wheel logos. In Nosh's theme they basically take up the entire scroll row and there isn't any space between each banner. I would like that same setup here. So in the platform wheel 3 view (vertical logo) I would like the banners to be larger and very close together. Right now there is a ton of space and the are shrunken.

    Any help is appreciated!

  7. I'm usually pretty Ron Swanson about these things and don't care what people choose to sell. If he's willing to put thousands of hours in and sell something that people are willing to buy, then good for him.

This annoys me however because BigBox is not free. I paid for it so should everyone else. Now if Upchurch is including a license and he's paying Jason, then no issues (other than the legal ones selling roms).

Ultimately I only care about the license fees because those are what fund development. If he sells 1k drives and that's 1k fewer licenses that Jason gets revenue from, then that's a problem. If he sells those same drives but Jason was paid, then I don't care because this doesn't affect me - if anything it benefits me bevause Jason is selling more and able to invest more back into development.

  8. Hi Guys,

ive heard using the exodos collection with RocketLauncher is really easy and you just point it at your zip files like roms.

I haven't tried and before I did, I wanted to check to see if anyone else has in conjunction with Hyperspin or LaunchBox.

I really want to get it through RocketLauncher so I can use @RetroHumanoid media when he releases it.

I couldn't find any tutorials so figured I'd ask.

Thanks in advance for the help!

  9. Have you guys noticed the new core in RetroArch called "Atari 8bit and 5200"?

i messed with it last night for a few minutes and it would load a game but the bios screen said it wasn't a real bios.

Have any of you had success with this?

  10. I'm guessing you don't have the bios set up correctly. First make sure you have the bios files in the system folder within RetroArch.

Then skip launchbox and try to load a cue file directly from within RetroArch. If it still isn't loading get a bin/cue game and try again.

Plus with yesterdays beta I doubt that development will cease even if Jason feels it necessary to cut out some of the paid employees like Wood and ETA

Were wood and ETA let go too? Or are you just speaking in theories?

  12. I agree but actual bezel support would likely require all of the content creators to create content. This feature is a simple "on/off" and works across the board without needing the community.

Plus it looks amazing and doesn't distract from the games. I actually ditched my RetroArch system bezels for this and have been loving it (for the 12 hours I knew about it at least".
