  1. Hi Guys - Sorry if i am a dope and missed this somewhere...

I thought i read that one of the releases allowed the ability to control the the startup screens at the platform level. Is this true? If so, where are those settings? i only see the very limited settings in the main tools menu.

The old Refried before today,is no more...so you can trash that with it's 200+ themes....or keep it....if you want. The new Refried is just 1 theme....and if you choose to use addons, you just take the stuff in the addon zip files and combine them into the main Unified Refried theme and they should just work (as long as I did everything right).

So in the zip there is a folder called queso fresco Addon then inside of that is an Images and Views folder. Do i drag over queso fresco folder or do i darg over images and views?

  3. You use PCLauncher as the module and the path is to the folder where your games are. You also need to set up every single game individually within rocket launcher under emulator settings.

I love rocket launcher and use it for everything, but now that LaunchBox has loading screens, I wouldn’t bother loading MUGEN or other PCLauncher games through RL. Just do them directly from LaunchBox.

If you have startup screens completely turned off in LaunchBox or Big Box, then they're off, period. If you want to enable them only for PC games, you'll have to enable them in LaunchBox and/or Big Box and then configure them either on an emulator or game basis. You can use the batch edit stuff to turn them on and off for each game. Or, just disable them for all your emulators.

Thank you for the clarification. So I have over 100 platforms and going on 3-400 playlists.

Why not have the ability turn turn startups on and off by platform/playlist as well?

Game level is great and emulator level has its use cases. But ultimately the “wheel” level is most useful.

Right now for example I only want it on for a handful of platforms. The only way to do that is turn it on for everything, then over 100 times I need to go through each emulator or “select all” at the game level to turn those off.

  5. So i have startup turned off globally but i wanted to turn it on just for PC games. So i went into the games and selected "overide default startup settings" then i selected "enable game startup screens".

No luck.... Am i missing something?

  6. Screenshots of themes out of alphabetical order. As mentioned it seems to be by added date - I added all Refried Consoles at the same time, so those are in order, but then I added handhelds, so those are in order, but they are not in order WITH consoles. Hard to articulate well, but long story short, themes do not show up in true alphabetical order.

Is it possible the list displays in the same order you have it in your Windows folder, and you organized it by modified date at some point?...I know it's unlikely...but,just an idea

No it’s alphabetical in Windows. It’s actually been doing this for a while. I’ll get a screenshot over.

  8. I don’t know if this was a bug or designed that way on purpose..... but when I go to select a theme, they are not listed in alphabetical order, they are listed by what seems to be modified date.

Normally that wouldn’t be a big deal, but with refried having an add on theme for over 100 different platforms, it’s realky hard finding the one you want since it isn’t alphabetical.

  9. @RetroHumanoid Your "Favorites" theme does the same thing. If I set that as the theme for favorites under NES for example no matter what the name or nested name is, you wont get the proper theme, just default box.

@Jason Carr But if i create a Nintendo Entertainment System Favorites playlist myself (not using the right click to auto generate feature - then this does work. So even though it is the exact same name, the theme only works if you create it manually. It's like the auto create have their own nomenclature somewhere not visible to theme.

  10. I am using the individual addon themes it seems as though where I use nested playlists - i will need to change the theme for every single one. Is that correct? so NES for example, i use the addon theme and the view with the static image - but for nes favorites and each genre i need to set that exact theme and view - it won't look at what the view for "all games" is. Is there a way to default the playlist view to the view of the "all games"?
