  1. Hi guys, I imported all my mame fullset, with subcategories, after many hours... but I have a problem. 

    During the import I named the emulator as "Arcade" and at the end of the process LB created an Additional "Arcade" section under the Parent "Arcade" (where I still have Taito Type X, Sammy Atomiswave, etc).  Every subcategory had its games. At the end I renamed the Platform as "MAME" and manually moved every subcategory under MAME, in this way:

    and so the final result:

    But now every subcategory is empty! I only have displayed all the 2912 mame games if i choose "MAME".  I tried to reimport it in order to see if LB fix this issue, but it doesn't! And it import again all the mame fullset with all the media!  :( :( I aboted the process, I don't want to re-import all the fullset.  

    Can you help me please?

    I have i configured everything in PCSX2 emulator and its frontend Spectabis.  I followed this great guide:

    I have only a question: i mapped the EXIT command in Launch Box with L2+R2 button on my Logitech pad. It works perfectly with all emulators, but if I run Spectabis it doesn't work. I can't exit from a running game... how can i solve this little issue?

  3. many thanks, it works! There is only this error if i run the games from LB:

    I don't have this error if I run the games directly from the PGM2MAME v0193+.exe file.  The plugin.ini is present in the emulator folder...I don't know why it appears this error.

    Another little question about MAME: well, i have MAMEUI, not MAME, but i suppose that it correctly works in any case in LB, am I right?

    I imported with normal import roms files, the PGM2 MAME: it has only 7 different games (with some clones).  I imported them:

    But when I run a game, it appears all these errors (it appears a pop up for every gmae or clone, I dind't take a screenshot for everyone):

    It's quite strange, i don't understand...I have configured everything and i also tried to modify the platform name in MAME (instead of PGM2 MAME like in the screenshot below), but it doesn't work:

    please, i need your help. I have configured FS-UAE and now i can play my .adf and WHLOAD games with Model = Amiga1200 and my AmigaCD 32 games with Model = CD32.  After that, I imported the FS-UAE.exe emulator on LB, without any issue: I'm able to play all .adf and WHLOAD games. 

    Now I imported Amiga CD32 in LB, using the same FS-UAE installation (I mean, same Launcher.exe used for Amiga emualation).  I tried to import 2 AmigaCD32 games: one of them in folder format, with bin, cue, img, sub files: I added the .cue file in LB.  The other one is in .zip format (it included .wav files, .cue and .bin).  LB correctly detected them, but if i run them, the emulator starts but:

    1) when i play the game in folder format, it appear a blue screen, with AMIGA DOS information. I think that I have understood the issue: if I play this game, the emulator doesn't start with Amiga CD32 model. If I push START on my joypad, it appears at the upper left side: Amiga 500".

    2) when i play the game in zip format, it appears only the AMIGA CD 2 logo. Here if I push START, it doesn't happen anything

    I suppose that I have to do something of particular in order to correctly start the FC-UAE emulator for CD 32 games... can you help me, please?

     

    I also tried to create 2 different FS-UAE installation folder: one used in LB only for Amiga games and the oter one only for Amiga CD32 games. But i don't solve the issue. It seems that in order to load in LB the Amiga CD 32 games, it is necessary an additional step...

    for MAME, I have the full set, but only a couple of chd file: but i have created the empty folder for every chd missing file so, in this way, the Scan with Clrmame is complete. So i suppose that i can use the specific function  "import MAME fullset", am I right?

    regarding the 2 mame hack, CNP MAME PLUS and PGM2 MAME (both with fullset), do you think that it is better to import them with the standard roms import? If so, which Platform I can enter? I can add additional new system, named "PGM2 MAME" and "CNP MAME PLUS" I suppose: for sure LB it will not be able to download from Emumovies themes for these 2 systems but I think that i don't have different choice...

  9. thanks! I'm importing all the arcade romset for FBA :)  For MAME I will use of course its specific option "Import MAME fullset".

    I still have to import a couple of MAME Hack, in particular CNP MAME PLUS and PGM2 MAME: for these emulator is it better to use the "import MAME fullset" mode or the same way I used for FBA?

    Another question: if I use Steam without LB, it works in fullscreen. But if I launch it with LB, it ins't...do you know how i can set full screen also in LB?

    i configured PCSX2 emulator and its frontedn, Spectabis. Then I imported spectabis in LB and it works correctly. I have only a question: i mapped the EXIT command in Launch Box with L2+R2 button on my pad. This command perfectly works with all emulators, but not with Spectabis.   11. undestood. I will import the console romset with their own emulator and I will import with Final Burn only the arcade romset :)

    During the import process, If I choose the 1st option, it means that if LB detect the same rom with different region (USA, JAP, Asia, World and so on) it will import only the Noth american version: if it doesn't find it, it will import the following region in the list, am I right? If so, it is sure that I will import every game only one time, correct?  Of course, this is valid also during the MAME fullset import.

  12. perfect! thanks! I'm trying to add different games from different system included in Final Burn.  It's quite strange: it seems for example that it isn't able to import "colecovision" games. I choosed 2 of them:

    but LB can't detect them, even if i tried to uncheck every option:

    as you can see, it will import only 2 games, not from colecovision:

  13. perfect, thank you, it's clear. I tried to import a couple of games for Final Burn Pro/Delta, with these default settings (and also i tried to uncheck the last option):

    and it seems that is ok. I will try to import additional games for Final Burn in order to verify if everything is ok. I decided to uncheck the last option: i want the subcategories only when i will import MAME fullset. 

    I follow your steps: is it normal that FInal Burn Alpha isn't under the ARCADE Platform section?

  14. don't worry, i will ask in a specific post. TypeXtra and Amiga probably are the most difficult emulators to configure and import in LB...

    Now I want to add Final Bunr Delta/Pro (same FB Neo romset, they are 2 different version of Neo), naming the Emulator in "Final Bunr Alpha" in order to download from Emumovies all the themes and so on. I want also to add Final Burn Legends (it is ofr pc, i'm using it, it's godd).  In order to import it and download all the extra files, how can I name this emulator?  I suppose that if I name it like "Final Burn Legends" LB will not be able to download extra files from Emumovies...am I right?

  16. thanks: I added Steam and Amiga, good, they works (I have to understand only how to start Steam on fullscreen, it is not present in the Emulator list..).

    Now I added Amiga CD32 but i'm sorry, I need your help. I'm using the same emulator of Amiga, I mean FC-UAE. I have configured it and every Amiga/Amiga Cd32 game works perfectly.  

    In LB the Amiga games works without any issue (they are in .adf or WHLOAD zip files).  I tried now to import 2 AmigaCD32 games: one of them in in folder format, with bin, cue, img, sub files. And I added the .cue file in LB.  The other one is .zip format (it included .wav files, .cue and .bin).  LB correctly detected them, but if i run them, the emulator starts but:

    I think that I have understood the issue: if I play the Amiga CD32 games, the emulator starts with Amiga 1200 model, that is correct for the Amiga games, but not correct for Amiga Cd32 games.  If I run the emualtor without LB, they work correctly because I configured for every game the correct Model:  Amiga 1200 for .adf or WHLOAD games, and CD32 for Amiga Cd32 games.  But how can I do same thing with LB?  Have I to duplicate the emulator folder, and set up the Amiga CD32 installation in a particular way? Or probablu I can keep only one version of the emulator, but I have to set up enyting else..?

  17. well, currently i have the fullset for Final Burn Legends and FInal Burn Delta/Pro. I dind't know Final Burn Neo, but i think that Final burn Delta/Pro has the same romset as Final Burn Neo.

    Ok thanks, i will import Final Burn Delta in that way and I suppose i can import different Final Burn version, like Legends,  all in the same way, i simply have to add the every emulator with its own name and .exe file

  18. Hi, i would like to add my Taito Type X/X2 and NesiCa Live games in Launchbox. Currently i'm playing them with TypeXtra frontend. I read this tutorial 

    but it is not so clear...

    I have my TypeXtra frontend folder, with the TypeXtra.exe file that i run in order to see my games list. Then, every game has its own folder, with its files. Every game has one of these configurations:

    I think that  I can't load as usually the roms+emulator from Tool --> Import --> Roms Files. Probably I have to manually add every game, with ADD button in LB and add every game details, am I right? If so, I'm not sure what I have to choose, for every game, in this form:

    I suppose I have to enter the the Jconfig.exe (or the pad_config.exe) in the "Configuration Application Path" field, but i don't know what i have to enter in the "Application Path": the "Launch file" value or the "Exe File" value that you can see in my previous TypeXtra screenshots? If both these file are necessary to Launchbox, where I have to enter them?

    Now i missing only these emulators in LB: AMIGA (I have already configured it, and there is a tutorial for add it in LB), MAME full set, Steam, Final Burn and a couple of MAME hack (pandora's box and PGM2). I hope that it will not so difficult to import them in LB :)

    I suppose that for MAME hack like PGM2 and pandora's box i should be follow the same totorial available for MAME... but for Final Burn itsn't available a tutorial. Do you know if i have to import it like a normal emulator (Tool --> Import --> Roms Files) or like the MAME?

    EDIT: do you remember my little issue with Byuu and a Satellaview game? Well, here the answers from the Byuu forum, i hope this can help other guys :)

    "To load a Satellaview game in byuu, you have to choose "Super Famicom..." from the menu, then load the base cart, then load the mini-cart containing the Satellaview game you want to play. When you load the game from the command-line, there's no way to tell byuu what kind of console to load it into. It tries to guess based on the file-extension, but it doesn't know about .bs files. So for the moment, it's not possible to play Satellaview games in byuu from a frontend. Playing them in bsnes is probably a better plan anyway."

  22. issue solved! By default LB associated to Dreamcast my Demul Atomiswave installation: in this folder I don't have Dreamcast bios!  Now I associated to Dreamcast the right Demul installation and the error is disappeared.

    Now the emulator starts correctly but the game doesn't start automatically: when I right click on the game and select Demul, it opens the Demul interface and I have to manually choose the game. I have configured correctly, i suppose:
