  1. Also maybe as a possibly, have the update dialogue in app show a quick log along with the yes/no that we click to update.
  2. @kmoney that's great you're doing those! It is an awesome feeling when you're trying to add a game that's a little obscure and you find someone else in the community already did a little work to make your setup nice! I like to think of it as - if I had to personally create every logo for my Genesis collection it would take me a year and I'd give up - the fact that we all contribute is what makes projects like this thrive! @Zombeaver thanks for moving it over!
  3. @ZombeaverNo problem, I figured if I was making it for me anyway I'd of course share. I'll leave it here unless someone wants to move the post. Thanks for the clarification, with anymore new I'll throw over in thst category. I did submit though so hopefully they'll be accepted in sometime soon.
  4. @Zombeaver - Since you're a mod - should I have posted this in the GamesDB topic and not this one? I'm a little unclear the difference between the two forum topics
  5. I've added a couple clear logos to the DB- it seems like Windows is lacking a lot of logos while consoles are doing pretty good. The one I'm questionable on is the World of Warships clear logo. I used the "actual logo" but am not a big fan of short stubby clear logos on wheels. Is there a set "should be this way" for clear logos on games were the actual logo could be shown a few ways? My guess would be add it to fan art and if anyone wants to they can swap it for clear logo but I want opinions.
  6. @Jason Carr you probably NEED a break from VLC after a two week non stop multiple release per day frenzy. The work is appreciated but honestly, the issues are minor (wmp still works with no crashes and VLC issues are mostly just minor annoyances) My two cents on mame - I came from hyperspin and kept my rocket launcher setup. Having arcade set up as default the default name in LB didn't work, I actually had to rename "arcade" to "MAME" and do some tweaking to get the two programs talk. Default "mame" over arcade would work well, but in LB, but keeping it with the "arcade" clear logo is nice as my setup is for entertaining friends, and while everyone knows what an arcade is, few know mame without an explanation. Honestly not sure if that feedback helps but it's what came to mind.
  7. Two issues still - I had a crash on VLC again. WMP still doing the stutter on videos but not on VLC, so I selected VLC in big box I ran through my few arcade videos to then windows to check for stuttering on VLC - no problems. Ran down to DC, flipped through a few videos then backed out to platform wheel. At this time before another video loaded it crashed with this - no audio started playing or video showed - it happened when it was calling for another video to display but didn't finish the load - so all I could see was platform wheels on the left - no console photo or text. System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at (VlcPlayer , IntPtr , IntPtr& ) at Meta.Vlc.Wpf.VlcPlayer.VideoLockCallback(IntPtr opaque, IntPtr& planes) Hit "close" on the report/close box with the error and it let me flip up and down on the platform wheel for a time or two then crashed to desktop. Again - no video continued to load or text/platform image. Issue 2: Opened back up, flipped through wheels real quick - into and out of platforms - all real quick - at some point one of the platform video previews (I use random videos that BB selects as platform videos) got stuck and audio keeps playing in the background. Whenever I switch to another platform/game - a new one will start playing but the old audio keeps looping through the 30 second video in the background. I kept flipping through in and out - right now I have what sounds like 3 videos worth of audio playing in the background (something from n64, something from psx and something from DC) at the same time. The 4th video for whatever I'm currently selecting will start to play and have no issues looping. Really strange - it's like VLC just doesn't want to "stop" if you move too fast through videos. To re-create try flipping through videos, let it load a little then back out, flip though go in and out back out - eventually one will start to stick in the background and play. If I wait a second after each time I move it doesn't seem like this happens. @Jason Carr I've recreated issue 2 a few times now. I went to platforms - a random video loaded for a game no issues. I then went through DC a bunch of times - platform video was NOT at this time playing while I loaded each video. I flip through real quick and backed out - this got one of the video's audio from the games list to keep playing in the background when I backed out - I made sure I knew which games audio it was. Then I kept flipping through a few time though the list stopping at random time and then into PSX after the preview started on the platforms page- at this time went into the system - both the DC video's audio and the PSX platform video's audio was playing while I scrolled through the games list. At the same time any game I stopped on would also start playing. If its a thing - call for "stop" in vlc isn't being executed when you move in and out too fast.
  8. @Jason Carr Haha I just realized avatars could be gifs so I decided it would be perfect. New forum is great, especially on mobile. I'm the video, I wonder if it's something to do with my wmp installation. I'm off Tuesday and will be able to play around making new videos for the ones that I know skip and check wmp.
  9. @kmoney not sure why, but when I first set up LB all mine were like that. I figured it was because I still have a full hyperspin setup, and kept my videos over there.
  10. I had something like this, sounds dumb but check under platforms/steam in LB and make sure video directory isn't pointed to a specific file but just the directory. My arcade did that.
  11. Sadly it's still doing the video restart issue. But, that being said, it doesn't do it on vlc, and with the new vlc fixes I'm happy to stick with that. I didn't have a chance to really play with it too much to see about the background music, others must test this, but wmp I can confirm on my end. That being said, when I have more time on my next day off I'll replace those videos which skip and see if it's just on my end, no sense chasing something that could be on my side if no one else is having complaints. Thank you for all your hard work on this!
  12. No worries, only trying to help the cause. I have full faith that this program will be beyond perfect before you finally decide you can rest! I hope my video helped you pinpoint something!
  13. I have come across a slight glitch with videos using WMP - it seems that in BB if WMP is selected the video will stutter start, almost playing a 1 frame or 2 then starting again. It seems to be video dependent so it might be just the video files themselves, but I created all my video files the same way, same format. When I switch to VLC I do not have this glitch on any video however if I go into a platform, sometimes the platform select video's audio will be playing in the background too as @kmoney above I'll have to back out then go back into the games list to get it to stop. I took a potato quality video here - You can see Gunforce does the stutter glitch @ 5 seconds in. At 30 seconds I switch over to Windows and almost every video does it. I then switch to VLC mode and go back. When I enter Windows again you can here the Ace Combat audio from the video on the platforms page playing on every video until I back out. After I back out no stutter under vlc and no platform video audio playing over game video audio. Wow that felt wordy. - I'm on 6.8b4 and all my videos are mp4 ripped using clipconvert.cc as info. Edit 2 - This carriers over into videos not stopping audio in the background once an emulator is launched. Retro Arch off N64 platform kept playing the video from Crusin' after the game was launched. I Alt+Tab back to Big Box, video was stopped but audio was still going.
  14. I probably came across 40 or so today and just gave up. I can only reject then ctrl+v so many times "is not snes, says on box".... That being said I came to the forum afterword and saw that this is an ongoing issue with a lot of debate. Clearly these need merged on the back end and need to scrape as either or. Maybe that's the ticket that if some want snes and some want super Famicom default should be "scrape as snes/sfc" and those that want to keep them separate can select either snes or sfc. And the community can set the region flag stating sfc or snes... Or maybe I just don't understand this and those like me who had a Genesis need the ability to moderate "all but snes/sfc"
  15. To revert from beta, can I reinstall over the updated version? I seem to be having an issue that now nothing launches through rocket launcher after the update. Update: Checking something, should have done this before posting. Might be an RL issue not a LB issue. Update 2: RL hung in the background with no window, closed process and things are running as normal.
  16. I was trying to figure this out - is it the same game or two separate games? I'm not familiar with the series.
  17. Just realized you wanted Siren 2. Made this real quick - hopefully this will work for you. Edit - Added 3 more - The one I made with no R on it, a better version in black and one in white lettering - let me know if any of these work out - if so - I don't see it in the DB - Maybe create a new entry and add the logo that works best. The last clear logo doesn't show the image on the webpage due to the transparency but it DOES show up in LB/BB and doesn't look half bad.
  18. Here is what I have for Siren - 3d box and clear logo. I submitted for update to the database (accidentally hit add new rather than change on the clear logo).
  19. Agreed the new forum format is much faster, and it's a dream on mobile. Really looking forward to the new beta as well. This is one heck of a community and a project.
  20. I figured it out! After checking that it worked in RL and direct through Fusion, I opened LB and went into edit on the rom. Somehow "open with emulator" was unchecked. Checked it, and opened in LB and it works. Also works in BB now!
  21. I second this. I have a huge mix of Europe and US box art for genesis and mega drive. The only work around I can think of us cough up the cash for ftp access on emumovies but I did my entire setup manually making movies off YouTube to avoid needing to, so I don't see this as something I want to do.
  22. So - Recently started using launch box - and bought premium because as many of us - I like what I see! I have an issue with Genesis where one one game (Sonic Spinball) when I go from bigbox mode to launch (hit "play" off the game menu in big box) it opens a windows explorer folder showing the .bin file in the zip. Spinball is zipped in my roms folder, other sega games work no problem after selecting play. I'm using w7 x64. Everything I do is ran through RLauncher. This is the only game I've found with this issue. My LB is 6.7.
