  1. Hi all, It is almost embarrassing to write, but @neil9000 simple advice turned out to do the trick - I simply had to correct the ROM-path in Mame to the new ROM-folder for it all to work - that I was able to forget that kindda shows how long it has been since I updated Mame!... I still do not know why my previous version of Mame suddenly stopped working after updating Launchbox though. I greatly appreciate all the answer in here - thank you all for the help.
  2. @neil9000: Good tip, I will try that! @Retro808: I tried standard Mame and MameUI, and just gave Arcade64 a go. Version number for all of them are 201 to match the Romset. All work fine directly through Mame, but not through Launchbox.
  3. I appreciate the answer, but that does not make any sense. 1. Everything was working fine before Launchbox was updated. The romset was running with a version of Mame for that specific romset and had worked fine. 2. I updated to a new romset, got the matching version of Mame and have everything working without any problems on another PC. It also works fine if I run the rom directly through Mame on the arcade-machine, but not when it is set up through Launchbox. 3. The error specifically says that Mame is looking for roms within another version of the rom-folder. Using 1941 as an example, normally Mame would look for files inside the 1941.zip folder. The error message I get here, says that it is looking for the files inside a folder called 1941, within the 1941.zip folder beforee looking for the files. Can the Launchbox-standard command prompt for Mame-emulators be at fault?
  4. Hi all, After the newest update I started having trouble with launching Mame-games. Some still launch fine but a lot of the simple refused to launch, and after looking at the error promt the problem seems a bit strange: With 1942 as an example I get this "srb-03.m3 NOT FOUND (Tried in 1942 1942)" It seems to be searching for the files in a 1942 folder within a 1942 folder and I have no idea why! The files are all there within the original 1942 folder, but of course not in a folder named 1942 within the 1942 folder. It might just be a simple thing, but as said some games work whereas most others dont. Can anyone help? - thanks!
  5. Doublechecked and everything is selected like in your pictures @Zombeaver. I am going to try it on a second system and see if it gives me the same problems. Another thing I noticed is that it almost seems like it loads another controller-profile when launching through Big Box - to activate the ingame FS-UAE menu for instance, I suddenly need to push both the "View" and "Menu" button, instead of just the "Menu"-button. Is this part of another FS-UAE standard controller setup? And if so, I wonder what makes my config load that?
  6. First and foremost @Zombeaver: absolutely fantastic guide, thank you! I have followed it from start to end and (almost) everything is working perfectly – I did just encounter one small problem that I hope someone in here can help with though: Everything works perfectly when launched either directly from FS-UAE or Launchbox, but as soon as I start up Big Box and launch an Amiga-game, FS-UAE forgets the controller (as shown in the picture). I cant seem to remap or anything. When I quit everything and retest, everything again works fine directly from FS-UAE and Launchbox. I should also mention that F10 to Quit (as pr the AutoHotkey-script) still works in Big Box, so the controller is being registered in some instance. Has anyone experienced the same problem?
  7. Hi all, I have a small problem that is hopefully easily solvable: I recently booted up LaunchBox to find that my categories had been divided up into smaller subcategories. What had before just been “Arcade” is now “Atari Classics” “CPS 1” “Konami Classics” and so forth. I can see how some people want it to be sorted like that, but since I am using BigBox in an arcade cabinet used by people with no deep knowledge of gaming history, I would very much like to revert back to the “simpler” categories of “Arcade”, “Sega Saturn” and so forth. Is there a simple option for this in the menues, that I have somehow missed?
  8. Hi all, After previously having tried out pretty much all of the popular frontends out there, I found LaunchBox and the rest is history – once again, simply amazing work Jason and team. Anywho, the right frontend deserves a proper arcade cabinet, so I build what you see below. I wanted lots of colors and ended up with a design that mixes two of my favorite games, and I am pretty happy with the final machine.
  9. Thanks for the answer, but it still does not work - even with game controllers enabled in BigBox. I managed to somehow get everything reset, and reverted to running the i-Pac 2 in keyboard mode. However if anyone has encountered the same problems or has a solution, I would still like to hear it. Thanks.
  10. Hi all, I have a few annoying problems I was hoping someone in here could help me with. I am running an arcade cabinet with LaunchBox and an i-Pac 2. I have been running the i-Pac in keyboard-mode with almost no problems, but decided to try it with LaunchBox in gamepad-mode, since that works better with some emulators. But to my surprise it does not seem that I am able to remap the menu.controls of BigBox to work with the i-Pac 2´s gamepad-mode. Am I missing something here or is this not implemented yet? After switching the i-Pac back to keyboard mode, it now seems something has been messed up with the controls I had defined before in LaunchBox, and I was therefore hoping that I could reset the controls by deleting the BigBoxSettings.xml file in the Data-folder, but this does not work. Can someone tell me how to reset the controls in BigBox? And is there any reason why there is not some sort of standard controls in BigBox (like the arrow-keys always allowing you to control the menus, no matter what other controls you have set up yourself) not being part of the program? – knowing that you could always use the standard controls no matter how much you messed it up yourself, would be a stress-reliever from this users perspective. I hope all of this does not sound too negative – LaunchBox is far and away the best frontend I have ever used and is about 528 times easier and better to use in all other aspects, than any other frontend out there. Thanks.
