    This is really nice because it does exactly what i want that is to save per game settings, but it has some functions that are unwanted (at least for me) because it may impact the gameplay or controller automation, i have tried to reply at the topic but seems like the creator of that app is not online since some weeks ago...

     how can i disable the controller shortcuts ? i mean i would like to control all the functions by using the keyboard only...

    For those who want to use this  for save per game settings only, without using controller shortcuts( like me )what should we do ?

    Another problem is that when i use this  app you've made the launchbox automation only closes the game screen but it does not close the gui pcsx2 windows, how can i solve this ?

    Okay i thought it was ok to implement this since it also does the same with steam videos, to me it really seems to be the same.

    well  maybe play  them  from youtube instead of downloading on big box since it's against youtube term's.

    Is there a plan to include videos on the Launchbox DB ? 

  4. Well after doing some research over the internet i found out a channel on youtube that has video snaps for pretty much any plataform, and if it does not have everything, at least is something, better than nothing.

    What if we can download videos from steam directly on launchbox like with steam games ?

    i mean it should not be that hard to implement this right ? Since it is just a matter of index like the steam titles, and it would not consume storage nor bandwith of Launchbox DB.

    I can send the channel url if there is someone interesting in.

    LaunchBox uses relative paths if you keep all of the content in the LB folder, or even on the same drive, so as long as the folder structure stays the same, then yes you can just move LB across PC's. If there is an absolute path for something (Relative looks like this ../LaunchBox/ for example and absolute has a drive letter on it), then you'll need to edit the appropriate XML with Notepad++ to fix the drive letter or paths.     Yes Brad i know it will work, i already copied once, but after that, i've added some games at one PC,  now i want to sync (copy again) all my plataforms except "windows" (PC Games)  plataform, and i want to know how to do it.

Well I use launchbox at two diferent PCs  a notebook which i can run most of emulators, and a desktop which i can run the emulators plus all currently PC Games and i am always improving my collection by adding more and more games and usually i do it on my notebook (external HD), and i want to sync all my plataforms except the Windows plataform, can i copy all the files the from my launchbox drive to another drive execpet the file "windows"  under: Launchbox\data\plataform\windows ? could this work ?

    Ps. I keep everything roms and isos inside the Launchbox folder and i already copied the whole folder to the desktop HD the first time and it worked well, now what i want to do is to copy everything again so it can update all the plataforms except the Windows Plataform.

Well i understand what you are saying, i've tried to play medal of honor frontline on Pcsx2 and it just did not run well at speed and even some effects were missing, and with Dolphin it runs just fine, it is very weird how an emulator that runs games from a console that is less powerful: PS2(PCSX2) can run games slower and less accurate than another emulator games of more powerful machines: GameCube and Wii (Dolphin).

    Yes There games that have their diferences like resident evil 4...

So i am organizing my colletion of games that i own (physical copy) on an external hard drive with launchbox, besides the exclusives titles i have some games both on ps2 and gamecube, so my doubt is should i just stick with the GC versions since they are smaller and runs better on on Dolphin than they do on PCSX2 ? What you guys think ?

    Ps. I do own both physical versions of games i've mentioned above.

    Choosing Gamecube Port device per game (standard controller, gba, etc.):
    These options can be set since dolphin 4.0-587 and won't work with previous revisions. Keyboard was implemented after 4.0-5190.
    [Controls]
    PadType0 = 0 (will set port1 to "Nothing", 5 for "GBA", 6 for "Standard Controller", 7 for "Keyboard", 8 for "Steering Wheel", 9 for "Dance Mat", 10 for "TaruKonga Bongos" and 11 for "AM Baseboard")
    PadType1 = 0 (will set port2 to "Nothing", 5 for "GBA", 6 for "Standard Controller", 7 for "Keyboard", 8 for "Steering Wheel", 9 for "Dance Mat" and 10 for "TaruKonga Bongos")
    PadType2 = 0 (will set port3 to "Nothing", 5 for "GBA", 6 for "Standard Controller", 7 for "Keyboard", 8 for "Steering Wheel", 9 for "Dance Mat" and 10 for "TaruKonga Bongos")
    PadType3 = 0 (will set port4 to "Nothing", 5 for "GBA", 6 for "Standard Controller", 7 for "Keyboard", 8 for "Steering Wheel", 9 for "Dance Mat" and 10 for "TaruKonga Bongos")

    These options can be set since dolphin 4.0-575 and won't work with previous revisions. Wiimote source number starts from 0 for wiimote 1, 1 for wiimote 2, etc.

    WiimoteSource3 = 0 (will set wiimote4 to "None", 1 for "Emulated Wiimote", 2 for "Real Wiimote", 3 for "Hybrid Wiimote")
    WiimoteSourceBB = 0 (will set balance board to "None", 2 for "Real Balance Board") 

    Choosing Control Profiles per game:
    First you should have a control profile saved for each gamecube controller or Wiimote. For example lets say you have created Wiimote profiles named "Sideways1" up to "Sideways4"  for Wii games that use the sideways wiimote handling(donkey kong, kirby games, etc.). In order to load those profiles per game you should put:
    [Controls]
    WiimoteProfile1 = Sideways1 => You can put any profile name you want to put here instead. This loads wiimote profile for player 1.
    WiimoteProfile2 = Sideways2 => You can put any profile name you want to put here instead. This loads wiimote profile for player 2.
    WiimoteProfile3 = Sideways3 => You can put any profile name you want to put here instead. This loads wiimote profile for player 3.
    WiimoteProfile4 = Sideways4 => You can put any profile name you want to put here instead. This loads wiimote profile for player 4.

    For gamecube controller profiles you should put:
    [Controls]
    PadProfile1 = Your profile name here. This loads gcpad profile for player 1.
    PadProfile2 = Your profile name here. This loads gcpad profile for player 2.
    PadProfile3 = Your profile name here. This loads gcpad profile for player 3.
    PadProfile4 = Your profile name here. This loads gcpad profile for player 4.

  10. Well i have already done a backup myself of my data and metadata on google drive, it would be really bad to have to import everything again for me that only have 220 games in 6 plataforms i can imagine for those who have a bigger collection.

    Anyways i think i found what may have caused all this trouble, i use my launchbox installed in a 1TB external hard drive and the usb cable is failing sometimes,maybe this have something to do with this, because some files of the last emulator (dolphin) that i was using  were also gone.

    But just for security maybe the backups should be made more often (like every day and keep at least five days stored or something) i guess.... or even be stored at cloud or something...

    Thank you so much for being so kind and help to fix it up, now it is working as expected, but i only managed to delete the metadata folder via linux, anyways right now i just have to add the games you had to delete.

    I guess i will make a backup of the data folder myself, and i hope i does not happen again (which means no more beta version to me).

Well i found out many files from \LaunchBox\Data\Platforms got currupted, and i guess the only thing i must to blame is the beta version that i installed, because i never had any issue with this before, then why the software does not make a backup of "important files" before let we install any beta release ? Now i guess i will have to set up all my collection again :( unless someone has another idea ?

  14. Ok now i fixed this error but another one showed up, and now i don't have a backup for this nds file, because the other files were kind of generic files which had in another pc  and i just copied the part there were missing in the xml ... is there a way to fix this at once ?

    Why did this happend anyway ? and how an average user is suposed to have knowlodge to solve this ?

    Hi @StuDentBR, if files disappeared most likely it's your anti-virus client. With the betas sometimes they can trigger false positives. Just install the latest version over top and you should be good to go. We're on the 6.12 official now. Make sure you disable your anti-virus before-hand though.

    I must download the new version from the site and install in the same directory and will work again ?

    Is there a chance that i might lose my settings and plataforms, and downloaded media ? i mean it took me a lot of time to set this up :/
