Wow, what a mess. That first error suggests that maybe there's some kind of corruption in the .NET Framework install on that machine. Beyond that though, it's hard to tell what's going on. I would try a fresh install to a new folder to see if that works on that machine first.

That works, more or less.. I described in following posts, that copying every folder (my media and games, etc) works fine in new folder....until I copy that CEFSharp folder....on top of that, some Playlists and Platforms corrupted XMLS...not sure what caused it ?

  2. After copying over some platform and playlist XML from my original image of this drive, it opens and mostly seems fine, except I keep crashing with this:

UGH...any ideas? I open VLC in the Launchbox x64 folder and it wants to update...I said NO...should I let it update to that place?

This is the error, I'm getting in full:

  3. By creating the same folder on the drive, renaming the old one to something else first, I got it working...the issue happens when I copy/move over the folder to the new LAunchbox folder I installed into called CDRDAO and CefSharp...WTF do they do?  I started the drive without those and they seem to recreate them just fine...is this going to change my collection between the two drives? Any help appreciate @Jason Carr - it may be resolved now, just want to check....

  4. I'm connecting a copy of my main drive to a second system of mine, and it won't open, I get an error. I tried reinstalling LB over the same folder, something I've done many times in the past on this drive (using latest 9.9) and after the D3D prompt comes up, it gives an error and won't finish install...this is from Eventvwr:

  5. Yes, that would likely work way better...just anything that makes it possible to not have to REPLACE the entire line for all selected games everything I want to add or remove 1 or more genres...my genre lists are pretty details, like:  Action; Platform; 2D Platform, etc...

So I won't have to keep notepad open on the side anymore with my entire Genre strings copy/pasted there, lol

  6. Wow man that is AWESOME! Thanks for doing that!

Any chance you can do something about the lack of genre/publisher mass editing? Especially genre...

For example, being able to add a genre to all games in a playlist without replacing the entire field each time?

Ex: let's say I want to add "2D fighting" to various fighting games through ctrl+A selecting, edit....but without having to typing my entire genre list of Action; Fighting; 2D fighting each time...?

The reverse to, being able to remove one of those entries for multiple games (Ex some have "2D", or other genres I don't want from importing them), but don't want to clear it all, etc...

    ?

The field is called Play Count, but unfortunately you can't modify it currently without going directly into the XML. I'll put that on my list.

Thanks! In the meantime, which XML can I edit this number to 0 on a specific game/list at? I see a lot in the LB folder but I can't see to find PLAY COUNT in any of them.

  8. ScummVM / DOS (from the ExoDos pack, using DOSBOX) work with PAUSE, but the screen is broken...when returning back to game with ScummVM game the resolution is whacked out with artifacts from different windows up and the game small in a window...with DOSBOX, it reverts to a window...in both cases the BLACK DOS window comes up first and I have to click the actual game in the taskbar...

Is it possible to resolve this for these games using PAUSE?

Not really sure, but programs like retroarch and mame use various keyboard shortcuts within their respective programs, so there could always be conflicts with those two. That's why I use "insert" as a shortcut since it's never used by any emulators, except maybe the computer ones (Commodore 64, Amstrad, etc.).

Good advice, but for the record, PAUSE seems to work fine in Retroarch, although as you said, it may not work well with all cores...I shall see...

Do you have any other controller-related programs running, like joy2key for example? Those programs can cause conflicts as I've learned. Also, when I set "insert" as my pause key, it looks like this in the options setting. See the image below for reference, and hopefully it helps?

No other software...unless Nvidia game popup thing that happens in Win10 is interfering somehow...mine looks the same as yours.
