  1. Hey everyone. For Switch games sometimes it will get a game's media, but often-times it fails to recognize them at all, especially eShop stuff, but not only...what are the Switch's metadata sources that it pulls game info from? Any tips to improve these results?

    For example, these are my last 16 imports and the results:

    In my experience these emulators don't work well with archived games. Have you unpacked them before launching?

    Yes I tried the zips, but that failed completely, now they are decompressed to:

    .D64 (some work),
    .D81 (some work)
    .png, (see below)
    .lnx (only a few are these)

    I mostly need help loading these full screen, and pre-loading the SIDE A-B sides of the few multi-disk titles....and gracefully exiting the system (pressing ESC ideally)

    Also the PRG files at most launch to this type of window - sometimes if I type run and press enter it will play, sometimes a title will not....any way to autoload this PRG formatted games?:

  3. Actually I just launched this game and it seems to be loading...it made me Press F12 and set monitor columns from 40 to 80 lines to work, but then it launches...

     image.thumb.png.988c38bb409453bb2eaea37fcd7b43eb.png

    then it had me press F12 and change to the B side of this game, then it loads and plays fine.

    HOW TO I MAKE THIS EASIER? how do I preload disk A and B on games that have two games, any other tips/screenshot examples would be deeply appreciated, thank you!

  4. It's merging the files fine into one game in Launchbox, and prioritizing the US release, which is great, but then when I right-click many of my Game Boy games I get a TON of repeated/duplicated  "Duplicate Apps" in the right-click menu...

    HOW CAN I CLEAN THIS UP EASIEST? I obviously only want one option for each. There is physically only the x1 euro and x1 Japanese rom in the folder, as per this example, so I have no idea why it's creating so many duplicate entries...and it's going it for MANY games...

    Thanks for any help....

    Fantastic, any chance of a Hacked Wii and Hacked GameCube Clear Logo too to round out the Nintendo hack stuff I have?  Thank you!

  6. My understanding when I converted my PS2 ISO library to.GZ (using max compression setting of 9) that it was completely reversible/lossless too, but Is there a utility out there to go from .GZ to .CHD?...I would want to consider this in order to simply test which one results in better space-saving...

    This only occurs when remotely connected to my PC at home from work to manage my collection (yes I'm THAT dedicated to Launchbox). At home it works fine and displays as expected.

    I'm using Connectwise Control to remote connect (fabulous program BTW) (Windows 10 both directions) - any way to fix this so I can do this stuff while I'm slacking at work?  Would be so nice....thanks.

    Hi guys,

      in Steam library, you can read the Q&A about the last release 0.8.4, the answer is here!

    - Create a new emulator in Launchbox for 3DSen, select "steam.exe" as emulator... (The local one on your hard disk).

    - Specify these command line for this emulator "- applaunch 1147940 -id=".

    - I've runned 3DSen and set all games for each profile (Game section) and be sure they all works.

    - In Launchbox, for each of these games, replace the "rom path + rom name" by the ID number in the list (see joined to this message). You'll have to do this for each game you want to play with 3dsen! (Each Launchbox tiles)

    Now, when you click on a game, it starts steam.exe with required parameters to run the gamestraight away, you'll see for a short period the 3dsen menu loading the game, and it will start!

    ... i'm currently working on how to exit with the autyokey script!

    Did you ever figure out how to exit? Thanks...will be trying to set up what you wrote here shortly...

  9. …that I can buy for $500 or less that will allow him to enjoy it; obviously he won't be able to play PS3 on such a system, but something that handles PS2 and below really good would be awesome.

    I can build my own if it comes down to it; but looking for an easy buy before I go that route.  Thanks.

    Any advice...needs to be an actual PC running Windows 10.  Thanks.

    Hi folks,

    I know this is a really old thread, but I've managed to get a way to run Wataroo with ROMs from the command line.

    Add these three lines to the Wataroo.ini file...

    [general]
    autoload=y
    cdf=autorun.cdf

    Then set your emulator to a batch file Wataroo.bat (in the same folder as the emulator executable) with the following content...

    echo Watara> autorun.cdf
    echo 64K>> autorun.cdf
    for %%f in (%1) do (
        echo %%~nf>> autorun.cdf
        echo %%~f>> autorun.cdf
    )
    start /WAIT Wataroo.exe

    If you have the files archived in .zip format, make sure you tick the emulator option to "Extract ROM archives before running" and "Attempt to hide console window...", otherwise if in .sv format, then just change that last line to remove the /WAIT from the batch file.

    Thanks for this. I just ended up just going with MAME to emulate it and it loads them up full screen, ready to go...should I be using Wataroo? Does it provide a superior emulation experience with this platform in your experience?
