  1. Well thats up to you of course. I don't know where you got the marquees from that you have currently installed but if they are from the LB database and/or Emovies you could delete them then install these marquees and use the audit tool in LB to see which games dont have marquees and redownload them by selecting those games and download only marquees.
  2. What's New in Version 2.5 - Fixed long standing issue of options background image not scaling properly in resolutions other than 3840x2160 thanks to @C-Beats ! - Logos now use the new WheelItemTemplate so they size correctly within the arrow selector - Tweaked wheel looks (Thanks for explaining and your patience @y2guru !) also wheel logos are higher res compared to previous version - Wheels response times are faster - Text title on Wheel2GamesView, 3 and 4 is smaller for more room when longer titles, changed color to fit design and added game version field below title - Brightened wheel arrow selector images; more apparent animation - Changed wheel/search index colors to better fit design - Minor pixel sized tweakings to UI elements size and position for consistant look and feel - Wheels in text lists now have "wrap"; long titles will start on next line instead of dissapearing text - Added another WallGamesView, one with 3D boxes and one with front boxes - Changed look pop-ups thanks to and based on @y2guru 's new pop-up view in CTC 2.5 - Huge thanks to @y2guru for CTC 2.5 which made all of this possible:
  3. Thanks a ton @C-Beats this worked! I'm a bit late testing it out though lol
  4. Not that I know of, yeah I think batching them would be the fastest way.
  5. What's New in Version 1.4 - I merged the last 2 updates and the collection to one file for ease of use - Added 397 4K marquees for games that don't have marquees or really bad quality. These where generated with "Marquee Generator for CTC" https://forums.launchbox-app.com/files/file/2442-marquee-generator-for-ctc/ - Do note these generated marquees have Launchbox file naming instead of rom naming, I'm to lazy to rename them all one by one manually. - These marquees where generated in a 21:9 aspect ratio as my marquee monitor is 21:9 but I also included a wider aspect ratio template in the link above if you like so you can render them yourself using your media and change anything you like - Thanks to @y2guru you can now generate images to any resolution you want using CTC 2.5 and above https://forums.launchbox-app.com/files/file/2115-community-theme-creator-for-bigbox/
  6. What's New in Version 1.2 - Thanks to @y2guru you can now render marquees in whatever resolution you want to - Be sure to install CTC 2.5 and above for this https://forums.launchbox-app.com/files/file/2115-community-theme-creator-for-bigbox/ - Template files are completely redone for 4K resolution and to always have background images even if you only have a game screen image of a game - Added 21:9 template file but also for a wider aspect ratio, you can change it to whatever aspect ratio or resolution you want
  7. You should first copy them to some directory outside the marquee directory, extract the zips and overwrite in the order I explained before so you are sure your marquees are updated to the latest versions. Then you have a choice to delete all the marquees already present in the arcade - marquee directory (with the full Launchbox names) or if you want you can add the downloaded marquees as well, they have the rom file name and also work as Launchbox can read the images in various file naming formats. But then you'll have duplicate marquees.
  8. Yep just download them in the order of the list you see when clicking the download button then unpack in that order to your marquee directory, overwriting indeed. You can view them on your second (marquee) monitor or if you don't have a second monitor by viewing the images in the game details > view images.
  9. If you haven't seen the movie yet, I highly recommend it. There's a scene in it where it shows a fictional game which is much more a 16 bit game than 8 bit but still I think gamers from this generation would like it. For me it's already a christmas classic which i'll rewatch upcoming christmasses lol. The thing is I can really relate to the battle of owning a NES back then. I worked in a backery in 1990 when I was 14 years old, yeah I know the NES was out quite some years but I had to saddle with atari 2600, commodore 64 or PC games in my surroundings while not owning any game system of my own. I was on a mission to have a NES and all it would take me was working my ass off for two weeks. So I had a job at at backery and I had to do all the shitty jobs of cleaning the fridges and doing the dishes. Most of those days where 10 hour shifts but it was worth it, I mean the NES was next gen man! At the end of those two weeks I was finally able to cash in and go to the local toy shop... but when I talked to the boss he told me I had to show up next saturday (THE day I would finally play on my treasure) as one girl had eczema on her hands and if I didn't I wouldn't get paid... So in a flash second I decided I'd tell him what he wanted to hear; I would show up the next day. I got my money, went and bought my NES (incl. Zapper, mario and duck hunt) and bought Fester's Quest and never went back to that awful backery and asshole of a boss LMAO. Well thats my story, hope you guys have some stories as well Happy 4/8/16/32/64 and 256 bit christmasses!
  10. Thanks man, glad you like I don't have experience with cabs and which will monitors will fit as I use an 21:9 monitor above a tv screen.
  11. What's New in Version 1.3 I decided to revisit the marquees in the collection just as the 1.2 update but this time revisiting all marquees that where under 3000 pixels wide. The result is 253 updated marquees, I either found new online, in the LB database, (re)created, updated, color corrected or A.I. enhanced and A.I. upscaled. Hope it gives you joy watching them on your marquee monitor this holiday season Have a great X-Mas and a happy 2023!
  12. I really have no idea what it could be, did you unblock the theme zip files before extracting them to the lbtheme directory?
  13. I don't have an older version but I hope someone else has.
  14. Yeah what would help if you set LB to english language and then trigger the error as I'm not able to translate images, text is no problem though.
  15. The screenshot is in spanish and I don't speak spanish, also i'm not very technical code wise.
  16. What's New in Version 1.2 - Added 63 Updated Marquees: I did a complete revisit of the marquees I have in my collection of around 1300 MAME games. This resulted in a collection of marquees I found in the LB database and online, A.I. upscaled low quality marquees (some very nice results, it's amazing what AI can do these days), color corrected marquees and marquees that had white edges for example that where never cleaned and so forth. Here's one that wasn't available before in this quality (with the help of A.I.) Coming this month or the next; 422 generated 4k marquees more about that later.
  17. In my theme Neon Deluxe arcade I see the old (semi) 3d boxes now, I cant remember if I hard coded it to this image type in this theme or if I set it by using the key/controller binding for "change view" or named something of that nature, it'll allow you to change image categories on the fly in certain views.
  18. You can turn it off in BB settings under views, it displays the semi 3D boxes like it used to for me.
  19. Thanks man. If im not mistaken you can turn off 3d models now in the latest beta release, see last post at:
  20. Download the zip file and you'll know.
  21. The newest one is on the bottom of the list.
