I like to buy every controller as well, but Hori did not dissapoint one bit, I think we should write hori and demand the FC5 with analogue sticks and color swappable buttons and a trackball, they owe it to us big time! It's my favorite controller now as well I also bought an xbox one wireless controller for analog to replace the logitech f310, while I like the analog sticks quite a lot and it does feel like something of quality in your hands I really have the feeling I'm not completely satisfied with it, it's a bit of a 'Meh' feeling or I just have to get used to it slowly after decades of dualshock-ism lol, it's also smaller in my hands than I initially expected and certainly compared to the FC5's grip, maybe I should look for the remake of the (infamous) xbox duke, although never having owned an xbox console I haven't got a clue if it's for me though. Are you running bigbox within something like Kodi? Have you tried different emulators? If you did was there a difference in the slowdown of Bigbox? Have you tried disabling start and shutdown screens? Another thing you could maybe try is disabling all updates see if this will slow it down and try letting big box do it's thing for like 30 minutes, perhaps it is still caching something or something in the cache was corrupt and it might help in this situation to delete the current cache and let it cache again. Besides these I really don't know what else you can do, except maybe in options turn off using all controllers as well so you use only a single controller. ps Of all these things you can try in combination with eachother, have you also tried changing the theme to a different one?

You should be able to get much better performance if you let launchbox cache everything first, caching only wheel images wouldn't be enough for it to load faster, as far as I understand it big box will be busy every time loading things that haven't been cached in this case, if all is cached then big box can slow down it's loading cycles giving more room to make it navigate smoothly. But I think others could explain this better in technical terms and proper english than I can.

Have you tried "clean up media"? This gave me quite a performance boost as I had a huuuuge amount of images from different sources when I started out with my collection. Another thing that could help is allowing launchbox to completely cache your media, select all games/refresh selected images and see the small line/cache indicator in the top of the screen, you can let launchbox do its work and wait till the indicator dissapears, feels quite snappy afterwards but you might have done these steps already, just thought I mention them as you never know.

So if I understand it right; when I uncheck all region priority boxes now it would just download any region media like before right? < sorry I'm a bit of a slowpoke sometimes in english and the technical terms)

I don't like my country much or it's general inhabitants lol but I don't like our species much either way, call me trans-species, I feel like a different animal... anyway back to the swamps of Nether, it's not bad to live in on social and economic terms although at least whats left of it after decades of destructive corporatism, it's hard to explain but you see it in more countries, it seems everything has been a bit too much about money and less about the human/nature aspect, one thing this country lacks quite a lot is escape from people and lack of nature because it is so small and crowded. Anyhow ignore my bitter ramblings, I shouldn't be talking about politics or the state of the world here, escapism at it's finest> game rooms, man caves and launchbox it's keeping me happy, it is medicine.

@Hayata The Netherlands, we do have recliners, I have one in my game room but not the big and the really fluffy classic recliners I see on tv, the filling seems so much more comfortable to sit in. Knowing my country if we have em they would be very expensive, maybe I can find a similar second hand one day. Ps you better start prepping some food and drinks brother, before you know it you'll have to live there

Those recliners are a wet dream for me man, good lord how cool! I think these are typical US recliners as I see them in US movies and series but never over in my country, maybe I should search better though. Amazing place you've got man!

Can you describe what you see and what is checked when going to bigbox/settings/controller? Do you connect your ps4 controller through usb? When you pressed select do you mean you pressed the X button and then your windows system shutdown completely?

Thanks man Yeah you do need quite a bit of cash if you're going custom/bar display marquee monitor. The monitor I use is quite cheap compared to those and the image quality is very good, still surprised by it's quality actually. I saw an article about the upcoming foldable oled screens, these can be rolled up, theoratically (excuse my english lol) if these can adjust themselfs to display only screens without black borders top or bottom by rolling down and move the display to the top then you'll be really able to size the screen to the marquee, not cheap either but interesting thought.

Good to hear! That would certainly uncomplicate a lot for scraping and working with/for media of arcade systems. Even though I like to be able to see or sort by arcade system names, maybe a new info field for this could be an alternative to help sorting these in playlists, although I have no idea how complicated this would be for you guys to realize or if theres a better way.
