  1. This worked so basically the theme is broken. You need to rename Category_CATEGORYNAME.png to CATEGORYNAME.png. For some reason, only Arcade was spelled right. Thanks.
  2. Just as I thought, reinstalled a fresh version of Colorful and same issue. I only had edited color codes so I doubt it would be that. Plus before I edited the color codes the platform device images weren't showing .
  3. Thanks for bringing an alternative. I could do like Platform Category > Platform > All Games/Favorites/Top 100. I think it's a lot of inputs for a user to get through one game. I would have prefer to be presented with the best games "Top 100", then you would have a visual cue on screen to switch left right to filter the games. I work in UI design and that's something I've spotted on in minutes while using Big Box today. I only used it on my cab before and since I only have the best games I never thought about this feature before. So for my PC build, I ended up using the killer features of LaunchBox and I was able to sort the best games by ratings and # of star ratings. Mixed with logic and what I know, I was able to delete 80% of the games which are mostly crap to me. Now it's super easy Platform Category > Platform > Games (all killer no filler)
  4. I'm not modding the theme or at least doing any core change to it. I fixed 2x color codes with search and replace in vscode. There's something else since everyone is saying that it should be working out of the box. Is there a setting in the options that could prevent those images from showing?
  5. Hello, I believe I tried everything but Big Box isn't clear as to giving us the information on where to put the custom data. Documentation is lacking. I'm trying to add the platform categories images for the theme Colorful. I thought they would be there by default since they're in the theme Media/Hardware Set/* folder. But they're not. I tried adding the images in Images/Platform Categories/CATEGORYNAME/Device/CATEGORYNAME.png and it's not working either. Thank you for helping out.
  6. Found the one for Mattel Intellivision which is broken in the theme at the moment. #e67f16
  7. This is a very good theme but the color system is a very bad choice and inconvenient. I updated my platform video for the SNES and it took me 45 minutes nailing "almost" the right color. North American SNES color hex : #7768aa Hope to see an update to fix this.
  8. Yes I've found the option to show a playlist in the platforms But this is making my platform list way too long. I would want, from the selected platform, to switch to the playlists that are only for that particular platform without going all the way back in the menu.
  9. Hi, maybe I don't know how to do this or I guess there could be improvement in the UI of BigBox. Let's take this for example: When in Bigbox in the NES platform, I would have expect to press a key to navigate through the playlists of that system. For example the left/right key to navigate previous/next playlists for that specific system. Is there a way to do this or I must go all the way back and go into Playlists, then scroll through all the playlists to finally find the one I want? Thank you.
  10. So the current disc information is saved in a `GAMENAME.ldci` file under `RetroArch\saves\SwanStation`. Content of the file shows an `image_path` which is the current disc. ``` { "version": "1.0", "image_index": 2, "image_path": "M:\\library\\games\\sony-playstation.1\\D (USA)\\D (USA) (Disc 3).cue" } ``` There's currently no option to instruct RA to disable creation of that file. Please comment on this Git issue to get it added https://github.com/libretro/RetroArch/issues/16018 --- In the meantime we could try and fix it with an AHK script. I'm not good with AHK and I'm not sure if it could check up in the `.ldci` file and lookup the disc number. IF disc=1 THEN toggle_tray/cycle_next/toggle_tray ELSE IF disc=2 THEN toggle_tray/cycle_previous/toggle_tray ELSE IF disc=3 THEN toggle_tray/cycle_previous/cycle_previous/toggle_tray ELSE IF disc=4 THEN toggle_tray/cycle_previous/cycle_previous/cycle_previous/toggle_tray ELSE IF disc=5 THEN toggle_tray/cycle_previous/cycle_previous/cycle_previous/cycle_previous/toggle_tray We would need to define variables for disc1,2,3,4,5 which would look up in `GAMENAME.ldci` Not sure though AHK can read stuff in a file. If anyone could help that would be really appreciated!
  11. Have you found a way to circumvent this? I have the same issue. If there's a way for the AHK script to read that current disc, I could try and write a if/then/else script to swap discs based on current disc.
  12. Haven't tested much so far but this have fixed it to me at this time. Security Warning When Opening Files from the Network Share The warning window may appear when the program is launched from a shared network folder using the UNC path. This problem typically occurs for corporate users when accessing resources in another AD domain or by IP address. In this case, it’s easiest to add the name and/or IP address of the server hosting the executable file to the Local Intranet zone in the Internet Explorer settings. This will indicate that the resource is trusted. To do it: Go to Control Panel → Internet Option; Security tab; Open Local Intranet → Sites → Advanced; In the next window, add a name and/or an IP address of a server. For example, \\10.0.0.6, \\srv.contoso.com or \\127.0.0.1\ for a local computer. You can use a wildcard character. For example, you can add all IP addresses of your local network to the Local Intranet zone using the following line: file: //192.168.1.*. .
  13. I suggest deleting everything and starting over following this tutorial. I don't see the point of a playlist. The whole point of Launchbox is to build your own box. If you don't know how things have been made you'll spend your life learning by troubleshooting other's people work and eventually end up following tutorials such as mine. Don't waste your time on the long run and invest it right away, it'll pay off later! Good luck on your system :-)
  14. Hi @ThatDutchDude, simply because I haven't got the time to do it since a lot is happening in my life atm! I'll add my own All Killer No Filler batch file I made and use for the arcades I build for my customers. I think it pretty much have everything you need from a good cut down Mame set. Hope you like it and that it could help someone!
  15. Screenscraper is one of those slow websites. I have the maximum threads so at least it was faster when scraping with software for it when I was on RB. But when you go on the website to manually figure some stuff it's a pain in the rear. One thing I know is that id like to never have to return to that resource ever. I hope that people will just put time in the LB database from now on which wont happen realistically.
  16. Just tried it, transparency not there! Well it may be there, but it seems Bigbox FE isn't there. It waits for the video to stop to show. Almost there!
  17. I just tried and it's ignoring the startup.webm file. That's a bummer as I think Bigbox use the VLC media player for videos and VLC does play webm with alpha channel. At least in OBS!
  18. Great to know. I've done further testing and just noticed that the file format MUST be a mp4 container which doesn't support alpha channel. It would be awesome to have support for .webm format which supports transparency. So the startup video could transition to Bigbox menu.
  19. Hi community! I'm almost finished with my Stranger Things startup video in After Effects for BigBox. I'd like to know if there's a compatible format that supports transparency in startup videos to transition smootly between the end of the startup video and the menu. If that's not possible it would be really great that when Bigbox is finished loading it starts under the startup video so when the transparency comes in we could start seeing the menu. That's something I used to do on Retropie back then and it makes the whole thing much more pro! Have a great day!
  20. Yep, I was assuming he read the thread and that he's writing in this thread because he have the same freezing described here ?
  21. You're experiencing the bug so it's probably a theme from the Community Theme Manager. That being said you need an update from the theme dev.
  22. The version of Bigbox doesn't have anything to do with this matter. Still I find it better to be on the latest version. You want to use a theme that have been originally created with the Community Theme Manager and UPDATED with Community Theme Manager version 1.0.8.99 and above. The freezing wont happen anymore.
  23. Oh that makes sense! Any idea where in BigBox I change that key?
  24. Hi, I've only tried with Mame games but when I go in the BigBox pause menu where I can resume, view artwork, etc. When I press Exit game, I get the game over screen but it goes back to the Mame game and it can't be exited unless I press the button I've map in Mame. Any ideas? Thanks!
