CadetStimpy Posted June 17, 2015 Author Posted June 17, 2015 Cool idea. I think I may buy a few. SnapPower Quote
alobar Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 I went with this http://www.amazon.com/Avantree-Powerhouse-Multi-Device-Management-Smartphones/dp/B00LAX58YO/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1434563052&sr=8-8&keywords=multi-device+charging+station mostly because the charger is "smart" and will know how to best charge the specific device you have plugged in (android, tablet, older ipad/iphone, etc.) Quote
DOS76 Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 Snap Power concept looks pretty cool but I don't really care for the price might be worth it for the 10 pack but $14 is still a little higher than I would like. Quote
Jason Carr Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Gotta wait for the patent to expire. ;) Still, does look pretty cool. Kind of surprising that it hasn't been done already. Quote
bd00 Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 In the UK, we have had sockets with built in USB for quite a while now. I'm shocked that this is a new thing in the US. Quote
ps4isthefuture Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Also have been in Asia for a long while. Quote
ps4isthefuture Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Like this one from a company called Current Werks Quote
DOS76 Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Its not that they don't have them here its just that this one eliminates having to completely remove your socket and rewire it with one of the sockets that have it built in. I have been using Belkin 2 plug to 6 plug adapters with two USB port for a few years in multiple sockets around my house. I also have a 5 port and 8 port charging station (Hi my names Derek and I'm addicted to technology) Quote
