tribe fan
Hello, I have a ton of MAME games. What I'd like to do is only import games that appear in LaunchBox's database. Is there a quick way to do that? Thanks.
SentaiBrad
The importer is only going to add the games based on the check boxes, and since it is best to have an entire MAME set it's going to import everything it see's. Our database can be added to though, so either more games will start getting more metadata or you yourself can add some if you'd like. I know that the process to parse your DOS folder takes a while but that step is not based on the Database. If you have anymore questions feel free to ask. SentaiBrad
They're the same as far as what it imports in to LaunchBox and does not do what the user is asking though.
CriticalCid
But it supports most of the more or less official MAME support files which covers nearly every game for MAME. If missing metadata is the only concern of tribe fan than it is indeed a very good solution for this. But if there’s another reason why he only wants games which appear in the LBGD than you’re right, the result would be the same.
tribe fan
Thanks for the help guys. I'll be sure to give that tool a try. Also, I'm noticing that most of the games appear in LaunchBox with the default zip file name (e.g., "sf2" instead of "Street Fighter II"). Is this normal? Thanks.
