Lordmonkus
Then you have something done incorrectly, my best guess off the top of my head is you have the platform named differently than you have in the associated platforms window. Do your games work in Retroarch outside of Launchbox ?
kostas
i donwloaded street fighter and it launching through retroarch but only shows black screen for ever , not launching at all through launchbox
kostas
i will download and try another game , maybe they are cd versions ???
Lordmonkus
If the game isn't actually loading to the point you can play in Retroarch then you could have bad rom files, we recommend using the roms from the No-Intro set for the best possible quality. Any other roms from random sites off the internet are of unknown quality and can be problematic with some emulators.
kostas
ok i downloaded splatterhouse i plays perfectly through retroarch , but not from laucnbox and i double checked both mednafen comant line and the console names to match NEC Turbografx-
Lordmonkus
Then you have something wrong in your Launchbox setup. Here is a short video guide I did on setting up Retroarch with Launchbox, I use the NES as an example but all the stuff I go over applies to all playforms and I cover the most important things to watch out for like matching your platform names and the correct command line parameters. kostas
splatterhouse loaded perfectly through retroarch and playing flawlessly but when i try to lunch it through launchbox its just doenst start but launcbox did find art box and stuff maybe its cd version i cant think of any other problem
kostas
the strange think is that any other platform playes flawlessly in launcbox except turbografx
Lordmonkus
There is no CD version of Splatterhouse. Triple check your platform name that your games are under and the command line parameter, make sure you have the core in your \retroarch\cores folder that you are telling Launchbox to use in the command line. I guarantee you that if you have it working outside of LB it will work in LB when setup correctly.
kostas
also every llauncbox video tutorial i saw in platforms list Turbografx-16 is under ''T'' letter and not in ''N'' as NEC maybe this plays some role, Also i have retroarch outside launchbox but everyother platform im using it with ex. genessis , master syetem etc works perfectly through launchbox
Lordmonkus
You can call the platform anything you want as long as it matches the associated platforms window. Those 2 have to match up or else it won't work, they can be called anything you want as long as they are the same. kostas
i know i have them matched completely both named NEC TurboGrafx-16. I noticed you also use a difrent comand libretro line il try that and see how it goes
Lordmonkus
Yeah I use the supergrafx core just because it supports the small select few supergrafx games (5 or 6 games), the pce fast core works just fine for everything else just fine. kostas
hey i used your core , it was also the only one i had in my cores folder in retroarch for TurboGrafx-16 and i set the comand line to match and splattehouse now start and plays perfectly through launcbox!!! kostas
i am now downloading other favorite games from turbografx i hope they will all play flawlessly now fingers crossed
Lordmonkus
They should be just fine, if you find one not working it will most likely be the rom file. I have yet to find a TG / PCE game that doesn't work.
kostas
where did you said a good site to download is from ?? i forgot can you repost thx!!
Lordmonkus
I didn't say any sites, but you should look for No-Intro sets for cart based consoles, CD based games you should look for Redump or Dark Water releases, those are the most reliable.
