angelobodetti
Hello - I see a lot of systems want to work with the mess core within RetroArch (atari 5200, Colecovision, Channel F, ZX spectrum). What I don't see is an actual mess core. When installing cores the only mess reference is Mess 2014. Will that work with the above systems? When I tried to load it, it seemed that RetroArch didn't like it and wouldn't load the actual core. Thank you for the help.
SentaiBrad
I feel like I just answered this the other day? Either way, MESS was integrated in to MAME a while ago, RetroArch may have just caught up finally. That said, avoid MESS.
DOS76
There is a MESS2015git core but it isn't in the official version I have Atari 5200 hundred running through it but I prefer the standalone over MESS.
fromlostdays
The MESS 2015 core does work, but I'm no longer sure where to find it. (You just need a mess bios pack). For ZX Spectrum by the way, you should be using the Fuse core.
