ive tried it that way too lol the only thing i can think of is these roms are set up for MAME32 and havent been updated, so i wonder if theres a MAME32 core .dll file thats not available in the RA online updater

idk what im doing wrong i guess im just gona have to try again fresh...when i set it up for mame in LB it starts to load then it self closes

Do you have the game working through stand alone Mame at all ?

oh ya it works in MAME

Try loading the game through Launchbox using that Mame as the emulator.

lol still nothing,,, i did a fresh import and set it up under MAME...when i right click on the game in LB and select open in MAME it opens with no problems

Then you got something off in Launchbox. If the game is loading through Mame and doesn't load through Launchbox using that same Mame.exe you have a Launchbox configuration problem. Can you post a couple of screen shots showing the different config windows including your platforms list ?

NeoGeo and Mame bios do not go in the system folder at all, they go in the same folder as the roms themselves.

you have to put MAME into the roms folder? oh ya is there another way to take a screenshot other than prnt screen

You can put your roms wherever you want but you have to edit your mames rompath to point to that location.

printscreen and paste into paint is the best way I know of, but if you just want the window hold alt while pressing print screen will just capture the active window.

You are trying to load the retroarch core with the mame.exe, thats not gonna work

Try loading a game using Mame but clear out the command line parameters.

oh but when i go to set up the mame emulator it wont allow me to proceed without putting something in the associated platforms grid

Yeah still have the platform you have your roms imported into, if its Arcade put that in there or if it is NeoGeo put that in there.
