Pretty simple really... (sort of) In Nvidia GeForce Experience on your PC go to Preferences and then SHIELD. And manually add BigBox.exe to the allowed games. BB_shield01.JPG On your SHIELD tablet or SHIELD TV device go to SHIELD Hub and you'll find BigBox in 'PC GAMES' where you can then launch it. DSC_0198.JPG DSC_0199.JPG DSC_0200.JPG W.I.P... when launching a game you'll hear the audio and this lovely blank screen. DSC_0202.JPG Notes to self: * Have only tried retroArch based games * perhaps adding retroarch and individual emulators to GeForce Experience will work? * DoS games? I'll update when I've made more progress or have more info! ❤️ (mods feel free to correct spelling of 'SHIELD' in the title) ;)

update: Can confirm DOS games work right away. DSC_0204.JPG DSC_0205.JPG * Adding RetroArch and other emulators (tried PPSSPP) into gamestream settings doesn't seem to work. Still playing about seeing what I can do with this and get away with.

fromlostdays said So does it work with the shield controller? The touch screen?
I'll let you know after Monday. :P Capture.JPG I can, however, confirm it works fine with an EggBox controller connected with an OTG cable but "use all controllers" must be turned ON in BigBox controller options. (if it works this way, I'm sure it's pretty much guaranteed to work with the Shield controller) DSC_0207.JPG
SentaiBrad said That's awesome Amy! I've always wanted one of those tablets and this is badass.
They're surprisingly cheap! Picked mine up on Amazon this week for only £150. I guess to keep costs down is the reason you get absolutely nothing but the tablet in the box. Not even a charging cable! photo_2016-07-03_10-44-35.jpg

BigBox works on the Shield TV as well. Pretty much any emulator that supports XInput will work out of the box with GameStream. RetroArch makes life very easy, but Demul, PCSX2 (make sure to check xinput in lilypad), Dolphin, PPSSPP, Project64 (With N-Rage Plugin), and even SSF with a Controller Companion profile!

Tried this real quick today and things work great. Only issue I had was how to quit games like Mario 64 and other similar games. It's been awhile since I even played anything on launchbox so it could be that I just forget what to do on the controller.

I have no clue how you do it with this method, but on a regular controller you just open the options menu, go to controller automation and set the buttons on your controller, that's all you do. So when you want to exit an emulator you press the Hold Button + your Close Button.

So wondering why it ends up being different for me - how did you get the icon to appear?  Both in geforce settings and on the Shield the icon does not show up

Add the application in Nvidia GeForce Experience and from there you can edit the app you've added including adding your own custom image (like the example I gave in the post above).

Doh.   I must have missed the fact that edit appears if you click on the app.  Thank you

If you have an Nvidia card, you can also install Moonlight on your phone and do this same thing. I have a Moga Pro controller that I put my phone in and stream big box to it. I turned on the Xbox 360 controller emulation within Moonlight so that I did not need to adjust any controller settings in my emulators since I use 360 wireless controllers on them already. It works very well so far. I am have a 980ti and my desktop is connected to my router via Wireless AC. My phone supports wireless AC as well. Runs perfectly smooth at 720P 60FPS.

Anyone having issues with resolution? I use an ultrawide monitor (3440x1440) and when streaming to my Nvidia Shield TV, Big Box is defaulting to the resolution of my monitor which results in unnecessary letterboxing.

I'm also having issues setting up two-player (both controllers are currently triggering player one) -- but that's another conversation entirely.

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread but... Yes I have the exact same issue! Any way to override the resolution?

I'm also having the same issue with the widescreen monitor. If I add my games to Steam it works just fine, but that kinda defeats the point of launchbox.
