Styphelus
I know that if I import new roms that have multi discs, Launchbox only shows one of them now, but I do I do this for systems that have already been imported? I can do it manually one by one but I'm trying to avoid that and I don't really want to have to re-import everything again.
Zombeaver
You won't really lose anything if you delete/re-import. You should already have all the media on you computer, so re-importing should just add your discs into additional apps.
Styphelus
So when I remove a game, it's media and metadata do not get deleted as well?
Zombeaver
Unless you specifically tell LB to delete it, it shouldn't. Test it out with a game or two and see what happens. I'm not sure what would happen to the "Notes" section if you've manually edited it, so if you have a game where that's the case, copy the notes into a text file and test it as well. As far as I'm aware the media isn't deleted unless you actually edit a game entry and click on the "remove image" button (from right-clicking on an image). Try removing a game and then reimporting and after the import hit F5 on the entry to refresh the images for that entry - that will confirm that they're still there. DOS76
Yeah your images, videos and manuals should all be fine just don't run the clean up images function from the tools menu until you re-import the games. I think the notes section is directly in the XML (not 100% sure of this) but if that is the case I would guess that the notes are removed with the game entry in the XML but if you haven't edited or made any notes of your own then you would get that all back when you add the games back in anyway. Zombeaver
Yeah that's kinda what I'm thinking as well; that's why I would suggest testing one with an edited notes section. You could always just put in "BLAH BLAH TEST" or something at the end of the notes to see if it appears on re-import. If you haven't actually edited any and are just using the DB description you should be totally fine. You might still be fine if they're edited, it's just not something I've ever tried. I'm gonna test it out myself tonight regardless because I'm curious now
AVissie
Hi I would like to know, how multi-disc games should be named so that when importing it, it shows the disc numbers in the disc column before importing it
Zombeaver
(Disc 1) (Disk 1) (CD 1) are all viable and I believe brackets (rather than parenthesis) work as well now.
