I leave here two hardware logos based on the Sony ZN-1 hardware, which is also based on the playstation 1 hardware. They are Temo Play System (TPS) and Taito FX1.

And a third logo for the Namco System 22 hardware. They are logos that are practically impossible to see in an acceptable quality, I saw them in the occasional flyer, but seeing the magnificent work done with the previus logo that I requested (Namco System 11), it could be possible work the miracle

I made a white and black version of the first TPS logo.

I was unable to appropriately match the embossed(3d) look of the second original however.

It would be great to know what tools you use to make these logo's...

Are you using Photoshop and Topaz? Is there a quick way of isolating the logo or do you have to painstakingly outline it?

I start by searching for higher quality images of the logos. Often there is higher quality source material out there. Sometimes there's already a decent sized logo made up just not in the Launchbox DB.
If upscaling is applicable I'll use a program called ChaiNNer with different AI models to get the desired and cleanest result.
I search for any fonts in the logo and replace the texts with the same or closest font I can find.
I usually do painstakingly cut out some part of every logo. Some are easier than others.
Some logos or parts of them are fairly simple and I will end up completely recreating them for better quality.
I will run the finished logo's through Caesium to lower the file size as much as possible without hitting the quality.
Most logos I cleanup end up being a mixture of all of this.
Sometimes it's simple. But usually not. I try to keep them as faithful to the original as possible.
Its something I enjoy doing and can relax with throughout the day.

This is my same process, but I use different programs. Topaz and https://imgupscaler.com/ for upscaling. https://www.myfonts.com/pages/whatthefont and https://www.whatfontis.com/ for finding fonts. Photoshop pen tool for cutting out logos and sometimes I can use https://vectormagic.com/ to cut logos. https://tinypng.com/ to lower the file size. Occasionally I use 3DS Max to recreate some parts of logos, but most of the time it's just using the pen tool in Photoshop.

Thanks for replying @seaview59 - appreciate it. I don't have Topaz, but have Photoshop (extreme novice though), I use https://www.upscale.media/ for upscaling and the same  https://www.myfonts.com/pages/whatthefont you do. I'll certainly look at  https://vectormagic.com/ though! Maybe 3DS Max is beyond me ATM (haven't ever delved into 3D). I tend to use PowerPoint - for my sins - for actual "template" recreations believe it or not :)

Thanks @JereBear - like @seaview59 - really must thank you for outlining your process. The way you both seem to just produce these day in day out I wondered if there was some crazy professional software out there that made light work of this - but I can see that it does take a great deal of effort! At least I am (sort of) following the same process - just need more practice!

Don't know what level you are at with the pentool but here's a website that helps you learn it. https://bezier.method.ac/

Thanks @seaview59. I still tend to do it in Photostudio - but the trace tool is point-to-point-to-point (no post editing of points) - so I'll definitely take a look at https://bezier.method.ac/ as the ability to refine as you go in Photoshop is certainly an incentive.

What does draw me to Photoshop currently though is the Spot Healing Brush Tool - that's just amazing.
