I would suggest that there was an editing option as platforms, to add information, specifications and images, since many are empty.
And also wanted to know why the Master System, Genesis, Sega CD, etc ... are without images without database, since they are very popular platforms.

I'm confused all of those sega systems should be in the database and have plenty of images to go along with them.

Regarding your first suggestion, adding missing Platform (the actual machines) images, specs and descriptions for all missing ones is done by the LaunchBox devs. Virtually all missing images and info was collected by one of the forum members last year. It was planned to have all this in the games database so maybe it's still in the pipeline.
Regarding the games themselves within each Platform, the 3 platforms you mentioned do have games in them.
The Sega CD has over 200.
The Sega Genesis has close on 1100.
The Sega Master System has over 350.
