Dolfan058 Posted February 24, 2017 Posted February 24, 2017 Like the title says -- how can I adjust the resolution? Just purchased a lifetime pass and when streaming to my Nvidia Shield TV, the resolution is defaulting to my monitor resolution (3440x1440), which adds unnecessary letterboxing at the top and bottom. Hoping an adjustment at the client level will alleviate this issue Thanks! Quote
SentaiBrad Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 Currently, there isn't a way in application to do this, as you found, it matches your monitors resolution. As a workaround I'm sure you could probably launch it through a batch file to change resolution, then change it back when it closes, but obviously that's not a total solution. I'm not sure if it's been requested before, but click Issues/Requests at the top of the forums and request your changes there! If it already exists though, it would be better to vote on the existing ticket, and if not, vote on your own. Quote
FlightRisk Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 I need this too. Not all monitors are 1080p. And in my setup, the monitor is 1050, so I can't change it to 1080, I can only downscale it. What were you saying about a batch file? There is a command line parameter to change BigBox's output resolution? Quote
DOS76 Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 the user who posted about the bat is no longer active here so I wouldn't expect a response back. Quote
Dolfan058 Posted April 26, 2018 Author Posted April 26, 2018 The easy workaround is running it through Steam. I added launchbox to Steam, run steam on the shield, and launchbox defaults to the resolution steam is displaying. Winner winner chicken dinner 1 Quote
