OnlyHuman
Recently after I scoured my entire SNES collection, I did something that allowed the metadata to be changed. The box covers to a few games that have the same name as NES games switched their covers to a NES cover in my SNES collection. How do I prevent this from happening again in the future? I don't want to go through a collection that I already have gone through. Thanks much for anyones help!

fromlostdays
It sounds like you scraped that system as nes instead of super nes.Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk
OnlyHuman
No, only a few games had changed, like 40, coincidentally ones that share a title between NES and SNES. I 'refreshed all images' and 'clean up images'. What do those two options ACTUALLY do?
DOS76
Refresh will clear your image cache and start it over and clean up images will delete any images that aren't associated with games any longer.
OnlyHuman
hmmm, that doesn't quite explain why a few of my games that share titles NES/SNES changed.
OnlyHuman
When you say refresh image cache and start it over, you do not mean getting new metadata from emumovies or anything are you?
Retro808
He just means it simply refreshes the stored cache that way if you downloaded any new images the cache will have the most recent data so Launchbox/BigBox can quickly access it. Refresh does not download any new metadata.
OnlyHuman
Yea, I am STILL having problems. Somehow my SNES and NES box covers are linked for games that share the same title. Chessmaster, Championship Pool, Battletoads Double Dragon, Alien 3, Addams Family, etc etc. These are games that are in both collections and are somehow linked. I KNOW that doesn't make sense as their images are stored in different folders, BUT SOMEHOW THEY ARE LINKED. Can anyone help me with this? EDIT: In the Chessmaster SNES title I erase the NES box cover and add an image of the SNES. Somehow the NES Chessmaster title gets affected by this.
