Zombeaver
Well... it's that time again... the time when we must all appease the Steam god or risk facing lord Gaben's wrath. And so, with humble supplication, we expand our hoard of games that we'll probably never play. And it was good... ish. ... So! Anybody get anything good? SentaiBrad
I had 456 games from my wishlist on sale out of 559 games.
SentaiBrad
Actually, I'd like to add this to the list too: http://store.steampowered.com/sub/80342 I'm mostly getting it for the 1st game, but add in the second game for $1 more? It's an RPG series that has a sort of cult following that was re-released on Steam. Otherwise, the rest of my wishlist is depressing: http://steamcommunity.com/id/SentaiBrad/wishlist
Zombeaver
Yep haha. I've still got 337 games on my wishlist and about half of them are on sale. I should probably clear some of that crap out - if it's on sale for $1 and I still don't buy it I can probably remove it. http://steamcommunity.com/id/Zombeav/wishlist

Zombeaver
This is your regularly scheduled "Anachronox is on sale" PSA. I gotta do it. It's on sale. It's less than $2. Everyone should play it. That is all. http://store.steampowered.com/app/242940/Anachronox/

PowerCooker
saw the steam sales today............what an utter disappointment............again........like last time and the time before that seriously the steam sales are just so crap these days. I can find everything cheaper on g2a or ebay or amazon or anywere else other than steam these days unless its like a steam exclusive game and then I have to find someone who got it via a cheaper method who can then gift it me once I pay for it the only problem is............I find I'm not interested in pretty much all the games on steam these days. Since I got my launchbox hdd with all these games on I just really do feel like most games today are utter crap - especially the AAA so called titles - and I just feel like the games I do want (which ive noticed most are anime/manga related) are kinda cheaper on the consoles.......so since some NEVER come to the pc like the FATE series I'm wondering if I should actually get a console or not. Ive no idea how well the ps4 or xbox1 run as a system but considering there past track records am I looking at 1 years worth out of them before they brick and I have to buy a new one? Most of the games on steam which I do want are still too much for the asking price. Senran Estival for example you can get on the consoles for under £10 yet its like twice that much on the pc and that's without most of the dlc and a small online community I really do miss the days of great steam sales when they sold LOADS of games because they went for low prices which = more sales t the companies which = more money. These days the so-called sales just mean less sales which = less money for the companies and steam. I don't understand WHY they don't make the prices what they used to be when they sold more because there not making or selling an actual physical copy of anything. There just essentially copying a game from a hDD off a server which then gets copied again and again and again - no money is lost because nothing physical is made. so why still sell the game for a high price when selling it cheaper = more sales and more money? maybe I'm just getting old and grumpy in my late 30s

I get most of my digital PC games through GOG where it's DRM free which allows me to install on more than one PC. Edit:...I should say install and play on more than one PC. I can think of a few games where the wife and I couldn't be on and playing at the same time. Honestly, that's fairly rare. Typically you'll only see that on really big (AAA) titles that have some kind of multiplayer component. For most games, especially indie games, you'll be fine. You're also assuming that these games will ever be on GOG. GOG has some indie titles, sure, but the catalog is still pretty small. About half of what I've picked up so far is on GOG currently. Don't get me wrong, I love GOG and I use it all the time. I've got about 400 titles in my GOG library. I wouldn't let that dissuade me from going for a good deal on Steam though. Speaking of which... I picked up some more stuff (because of course I would). alexis524
dayumm, you went HAM on your build. You have one sexy beast of a rig coming. I would think you can max out most games with ease with those specs. you're exactly right. Since I've let off console gaming for the PC, haven't even felt the need to look back. With Steam/GOG/online key retailers, PC gaming is ridiculously cheap for a much better graphical experience. What resolution do you plan on gaming at?

Yeah I figured go all out now and upgrade parts here and there in a few years. Preferably 4k I doubt I will cares much about going beyond 60fps or even lower. Having been fine with 30 for so many years I just don't see that being my big concern.
alexis524
and go all out you did, Sweet rig man. On the fence about upgradding a few things myself. It' s more of a want than a need at this point. Thinking of going from an i5 4460 to i5 7700k, upgradding my mobo from an MSI H81 to ???, and my case to this : https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01L0ORH96/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A1W7VJMCZRZBUQ Want the case so badly but #1 not entirely sold on the open aired sides (dust build up) and #2 it's more suited for a water cooled set up and mine isn't ATM

alexis524
hey, to eaach his own. I'm not a big fan of RGB lights in my case either, but not knocking it for those who like that touch. Any titles you're really REALLY itching to experience on PC?
