Hmm that's weird. I am just converting James Baker's Arcade video to HEVC, gonna be another 4 minutes, i will post size comparison here when it is done. GunerX
also guys, pay attention to your audio settings. I just noticed that some of the audio of some vids was bad. had to backtrack and fix them. it seems to only happen sometimes (i think its the vids that are encoded to be 5.1 surround and then Handbrake tries to make them 2 ch stereo)

neil9000
OK, here is my before and after of James Baker's arcade video, converted from a H.264 mp4 to a H.265 mp4. It nearly halfed the size from 190mb to 108mb.

It has better compression yes, but you also need more recent hardware in order to play that format correctly, as it is relatively new. I run a i5-3570k and it plays them just fine, but as i said older or less powerful hardware may struggle. I suggest just doing a small file and seeing if it plays OK in vlc. Cauptain
For better compatibility, use Handbrake or Vidcoder, its make 4:2:0 files only (Full compatible with RPI, HS, AM, LB...) For highets quality, use Xvid4psp because produce 4:4:4/RGB output files full playable on LB but HS and RPI not. Claudio

Add this file to C:\Users\*USERNAME*\AppData\Roaming\HandBrake and overite when asked, it will appear at the bottom of the presets list and is called .265. If you want to make it the default, click it then choose options just below it and select use as default. presets.json
