PadeMoNiuM Prods Posted yesterday at 01:13 AM Posted yesterday at 01:13 AM (edited) Hey everyone! This year, I worked closely with an artist who created a Blender model of the Super Disc (a commercial version of the MSU prototype) based on the latest statements from the developers as well as the design of the Satellaview (a Super Famicom add-on, released only in Japan starting in 1995). The new logo is once again based on the official acronym of the Super Disc used by the developers at the time! Nothing was left to chance, and I think this is the cleanest version a commercial, final release of the console could have achieved. Even Secret of Mana isn’t a coincidence, as it was the title planned for the machine’s launch day! Creating these assets doesn’t undermine the work of other creators who were inspired by the MSU prototype logo. Instead, it gives people a choice and offers a new alternative for those who want it. You can stick with the “MSU prototype logo” style or go for “the Super Disc” style. This representation of the Super Disc is certainly one of the most beautiful and realistic proposals so far. Everyone can choose the style they prefer! I’m leaving some media here for anyone who wants to start a project. I’ve already started making a few myself! I really like the simple, no-frills model—it’s probably closer to the direction Nintendo would have gone back then. I had started some stuff but didn’t have the time to finish it! If any of you want to take it further, I can provide the template(s). here “What I’ve started” Edited yesterday at 01:19 AM by PadeMoNiuM Prods 1 Quote
