angelobodetti
Hi All - Do I need the cue file for 3D0 games using the 4D0 core? Right now I have the ISOs loaded and running in LaunchBox but I am seeing that I also have .cue files and I am not sure if they are needed. I'm asking because I am renaming my files to clean them up - If i need cue sheets then i will need to open each one and update the actual file itself. If not, i can delete the cue and just rename the iso file itself. Any help is appreciated!
Lordmonkus
I believe it does require them but I can't remember for certain because I deleted all my 3DO stuff. It's simple to check though, load RA, load the core and then load the game.
angelobodetti
I did that and it seemed to work, but before i delete them all, i figured id be positive
Lordmonkus
I would probably still keep the cue files just in case you need them at a later date.
mothergoose729
cue files are only necessary for syncing audio tracks or if the bin files have been split into multiple archives. You can load SEGA CD games using Gens with just the bin files, but you get no music. I always use the cue files.
DOS76
RA 4D) will load .,cue as black screen so the .iso is the only option. I'd keep the .cue files though in case a new emulator comes out that requires them to be present.
