Can't install .NET framework 4.7 to launch Big Box

So, I bought Big Box a few days ago and have not been able to get it to launch because the .NET framework installer for 4.7 constantly fails.  I've tried tons of suggestions online but nothing is working.  Help!

Tried that already, no luck.  Nothing seems to fix this stupid error, and Big Box is completely useless until I can resolve it.

What OS are you using 7, 8 or 10?

You haven't mentioned which version of Windows you are using. Check if your version of Windows supports 4.7. If it doesn't then 4.7 will not install.

then you should have no issues at all in installing .net 4.7, in fact it should already be part of windows 10 at this point. Are you the main user of the PC you are using?

try running a sfc /scannow from an admin command pormpt

Also go to Control Panel and type in trouble shooting then choose trouble shoot all and check updates and you can also try to disk clean up and try to delete any updates in there also.

Yes, and I'm logged in as local admin.

Running it now.

also try installing it to a new folder and see if it finishes its setup. I am just curious if it is a folder permissions issue.

Launchbox that is, try installing to desktop.

The scan said it found some corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.

Should I post the log?

Well I am at a bit of a loss, there is zero reason why it shouldn't install on a Windows 10 system.

Are you running any third party antivirus?

you should look up running something call DISM from the command line I don't remember the exact command

No anti-virus currently, I set this up to be a dedicated MAME machine.

The install attempt states that my operating system is unsupported, even though I easily meet the requirements.
