AlmightyTurboman Posted November 10, 2017 Share Posted November 10, 2017 I am trying to erase the platform banners from the platform screen but can't figure out how not to have them displayed. I went into launchbox/images/platforms then deleted the Banners folder, yet when I load bigbox, those folders return and banners are displayed. I hope this makes sense and I can get some help. neil9000 Posted November 10, 2017 Share Posted November 10, 2017 Those folders will return when you launch Launchbox/Bigbox as they are default folders however they should be empty, My guess is you haven't refreshed the cache folder and the images are still cached in Launchbox/Images/Cache. Just load Bigbox and go to Options/Image cache and refresh the whole cache, this should delete all cached images. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
DOS76 Posted November 10, 2017 Share Posted November 10, 2017 Weren't platform banners the ones that auto generate no matter what and to fool them you have to delete them and then put empty files named what they are expecting in the folder to keep them from coming back? If so, that's a new one on me. I know there is a toggle in the options as well, but yeah if they are hardcoded into the program to always display that could be a issue. Then change the extension from .txt to either .jpg or .png (either will work). Delete all your Banners and replace them with a copy of this new file, renaming the new file after each Platform. I cant convert an empty txt file on these free online converter sites. Anything im missing? I feel like this is a simple fix that im walking right past.
