Mr.Smash
I've been using Launchbox for quite awhile without any problems, until I came across a small issue with loading Sega Master System roms that assigned with my favorite genesis emulator, Kega Fusion. It ran all my genesis , sega cd , and Game Gear games just fine, but when I click on a Master System game I get a black screen with a message on the lower right side that says, "Hard Reset" and "SC3000/SF7000 Startup" every time. I used the parameters from one of the forums and still get the same results. What I'm doing wrong ?
Lordmonkus
No weird messages here.
Mr.Smash
Well in my case, nothing happens. Not even the title screen wouldn't appear
Lordmonkus
Do your roms work in Fusion on its own outside of Launchbox ?
Mr.Smash
Yes they do, but I want them run off of Launchbox
Lordmonkus
Yeah I get that, I am trying to help troubleshoot it. What are the command line parameters you are using ? I didn't have any and it loads games just fine.
Mr.Smash
The Parameters that used with the emulator were: but the parameters for the master system were :" -sms - auto" Edited June 20, 2018 by Jdavis490
Lordmonkus
Try this: -sms -auto -fullscreen From this page here on the forums. I believe the -sg parameter would be for the SG-1000. I can't say that for certain though.
Mr.Smash
Nice !!! It worked !!! Thanks Lordmonkus for the line
Lordmonkus
No problem, glad you got it working. I don't use Fusion myself, I use Retroarch and the GenesisGX core but that's just my preference.
Mr.Smash
LOL !!! Retroarch doesn't work too well on my computer, although I like the interface and having all emulator in a front end. So I rather stick to using stand alone emulators like Kega
Lordmonkus
Fair enough if RA doesn't run too well on your system.
Quantock
I notice you are still using Windows 7... I have been struggling to get Kega Fusion working properly in Windows 10... There surprisingly weren't many other alternatives available so I had no choice really but to get into Retroarch. I have gotten Retroarch working fine now and have grown to like it so I've pretty much moved on, but I really did love Kega Fusion when it used to work properly. Specifically, I remember being unable to map controller inputs in Fusion for some reason (it would absolutely not detect controller inputs) so I had to map the controller to keyboard keys and then have Fusion interpret it as a keyboard inputs. I think I was running into some other issues that eventually made me give up but I forgot what they were now lol.

It makes the any Playstation or xbox 360 controller more detectable for every emulator that you use on launchbox
damageinc86
I'd suggest using mednafen. I've never had a problem with input detection using that. It's always been a breeze, and you can assign on the fly in-game as well.
Lordmonkus
Mednafen is fine but it won't play Pier Solar if that's matters to anyone thinking of it. I will always suggest either Retroarch and its GenesisGX core first and Mame 2nd for now until something happens to change that.
