Then check the Daphne-log.txt to see what files the software is looking for. From there you'll have a better understanding of which (if any) files are in the wrong place. Hope that helps 🙂 Quote

vince16 Posted September 17, 2022 Posted September 17, 2022 I'm installing American Laser Games in Launchbox by way of emulating the 3DO personally, from the looks of it it's a lot easier. I don't know if they're perfectly 100% arcade-accurate ports though... Quote
PhattyStu Posted October 19, 2024 Posted October 19, 2024 I hope someone is still reading this 2 years later....yikes! I recently obtained a bunch of these laser games and they seem to be setup a little differently...maybe? Mine all have their own exe files and they just launch without needing daphne or singe. I added the exe to my LB and it starts to load the game but then just stops and goes back to the menu....any thoughts/help would be hugely appreciated. Quote

I have never seen any of these types of games as "stand alone" executable. They are roms with mixture of emulator executable like other emulation systems. In case of laser games it also means a video file has to be present which is copy of the actual laser disk. My guess, if you are saying it works outside LB, is it is some zipped up version with VLPD, roms, and emulator with batch file in auto-extracted zip file. If you take winzip or 7-zip open the zip application and then see if you can open the executable from within the zip application. If you see files inside then just an auto-unzip file. If not, something oddball that I have never seen and would be a bit suspicious of this type of executable tbh unless confident of source. Edited October 19, 2024 by sundogak 1 Quote

When I downloaded the content it was a zip file, with a folder inside of it. In that folder were several subfolders (some with videos) and just normal content like you would see for any installed program, including the exe. Guessing I just picked up something that someone has ripped and it works outside LB...I just need to figure out how the heck to get them working in LB or re-source the content from somewhere else. PhattyStu Posted November 23, 2024 Posted November 23, 2024 I just went back to the site that I got them from and they have them 2 ways....the first (the one that I grabbed) is a repack as a CD-Rom, the second has the LD and Singe packed together....guess I'll grab those....seems like it will be the easer/more common way to go. PhattyStu Posted November 30, 2024 Posted November 30, 2024 This might be a stretch again, but when I was adding the content to LB, a lot of them didn't download the clear logos which is what I use in my setup. Does anyone have a a media pack with them all or have a good lead on where I could find them? I'm not having much luck. Quote
