I have retroarch and can load an n64 rom when I start it, and it works fine. In LB, when I click a game and click play, nothing happens. What should I try to do?

 

sorry, found it, please delete, i didnt download all the cores i needed it looked like. thought i did cause games played in RA

You likely have something not set right in Launchbox. 

Check to make sure you have the Nintendo 64 platform listed in the associated platforms tab of your Retroarch emulator setup in Launchbox. Make sure you have it listed the exact way you have it showing as a platform in Launchbox. For example, If you call it N64 in Launchbox make sure you call it N64 in the associated platform. Also make sure in the same tab you have the correct core listed that you are using for N64 in Retroarch.

I am having this issue? I can play N64 games in RetroArch just fine, but in LaunchBox... nothing happens? I have the both labeled "Nintendo 64" I have Cores set, but nothing?

Are you sure you have the correct core selected in Launchbox? By default it will be the mupen core, but that doesnt exist anymore, its mupen_next now, so needs changing.

Buh! How did I never know you could change the default Core ??‍♂️?

lol, the dropdown there is all the cores you actually have downloaded in Retroarch.
