Hi guys.

I have Steam/Pinball FX3 imported and successfully launching from LB/BB.  I'm looking to see if anyone has come up with a successful way to import Pinball FX3 into LB as a system and then list the individual tables in the wheel.

A while back I built a virtual pinball cab with PinballX as the frontend.  I was able to accomplish this exact task with scripts/keyboard strokes to navigate in the FX3 menu.

Has anyone here been able to accomplish this in LB?

Thanks in advance.

You would need to get a cabinet code from the developers, then you just import the tables as roms using the actual program as the emulator.

I do have a cabinet code which allows me access to extra features in FX3 (like assigning the dmd to a second monitor) but I don't know how this will help with importing the individual tables into LB.

If you can help more it would be appreciated.

Thanks

For the individual table, point to the pxp.image.thumb.png.c728c0b72d7a53dd2ad402e46faec49a.pngAnd for the emulator, have the command line be

-applaunch 442120 -table_

I do appreciate your help.  However LB will not launch a table.  It will launch FX3 and then I have to select a table.  I have both the emulator and the games set up exactly as your pictures.  You are able to launch the individual tables from LB?  Under the "emulation" tab on edit game are you using any custom command line parameters?

Thanks

Yes, it will go directly to the specific table.  The Emulation tab has nothing extra.image.thumb.png.57c0c47fea15fa699569d559dea0cede.png

Only thing I can think of is double check that you have the same emulator settings.

  • the path to Steam.exe
  • the command line (best to do a copy & paste)
  • Two boxes checked ("No space..." and " "Use file name only...")
  • and under "Associated Platforms" tab...image.thumb.png.87f43138971f05cb18bdcf9e907a9abe.png..assuming that's what you named the Platform.

I would share pics like @JoeViking245 has so maybe we can spot something in the set-up.

Although i know see that is what @JoeViking245 instructed you to do. I dont have this setup anymore, but when i did i just had the Pinball FX.exe as the emulator and did not use a commandline to call the app from steam, and that worked just fine for me.

You have steam.exe as the emulator, not Pinball FX3.

I set mine up exactly as JoeViking245 did, using steam.exe as the emulator application path.

I did try using pinballfx3.exe as the emulator path earlier today and it did not work either.

I also tried moving my steam folder out of the program files (X86) folder. And I also tried "run this program as administrator" on the steam.exe.

Reading through the following, you can use either to launch.

I tried Party Zone and it was a no go probably because I don't "own" it.  Fish Tales is free, and that did work.  That's why I asked to check it.

Don't know what else to check.
