4 Way Joystick Game Filter

I'd love to be able to create a filter within launchbox to filter 4 way joystick only games out of MAME, is this possible?

I have a similar question. I would like to remove all the games that have 

• More than 2 players
• More than 6 buttons (excluding start and coin)
• Every controls that aren't 4 way or 8 way

Both are outdated. Isn't there's a manual way of filtering the games with Notepad+ or something?

Well, I know you can make an auto-populated playlist of 2 player games.  But I don't know how to translate that into deleting the rest of your non-two player games.

Is this still not implemented in LB and this Plugin is the only way to filter out 4-way joy games? Or is it a better way now days?

Now days you can use on the fly filters located in the left-hand sidebar, next to the search box to view your 4-way joy games.

Once you set the filter, click the filter icon again and create a playlist of your selected filter(s).

Thanks Joe, problem I have for my MAME games is that I didn't import a full set but only the games I have selected to save space.

 

So I have the game ROMs and BIOS/system files  + needed CHDs to make it more clean and save space.

 

So I imported all as rom files and not with the full set importer. File names is used from the MAME.xml so all good there but it seems that it all have 8-way joystick after rom import so I'm out of luck.

If there's another approach I would be happy to try, but otherwise I would really appreciate if somebody could attach all the 4-way and 2-way games (both horizontal/vertical) 😘

Can use Arcade Italia to get a list of those titles and output an ini file. Then use @JoeViking245s plugin here to create a playlist with it.
