So I have a question. I have a couple of games like NFL Blitz and Killer Instinct. I am unable to run. Where would i put the chd files in launch box for these games to run.

Launchbox doesnt need or care about CHD files, its MAME that does. So put them wherever you want them, but tell mame that path.

The CHD must be stored in a folder that shares the same name as the MAME ROM.

Using Killer Instinct as an example, the MAME ROM file is kinst.zip. The CHD must be stored in a folder named kinst in the same directory where the ROM file is stored.

The CHD files do not HAVE to be in the same folder as the roms, as long as you specify to MAME the folder location they will work from anywhere.

also since most (and by most I mean all) CHDs sets come in a merged format it has to share a folder name with the parent rom not necessarily the rom itself.
