Hello,

Every since the latest update to Launchbox all of my Popcap and OpenBor  games have vanished. I know I can re-add them again but I'd like to find out why this has happened.

Nothing on my pc has changed so I'm not sure what caused it.

Thanks for your help.

Updates should not have affected any imported games or existing platforms. If you go into your \Launchbox\Data\Platforms folder do you see platform xml file for those platforms there?

Can you post an image of the contents of that folder?

Here is a picture of that folder.   As you can see both platforms are there however they are not showing up in my list anymore.

Yeah not sure then why they are not showing. Only thing I can think of is somehow the games for those two platforms are hidden or accidentally got switch to another platform. Do you have any of the "Hide Missing" option set in LB? If you go to an All Games view do the games from those platforms at least show there?

What DOS76 mentioned about the backups is why I wanted to see the folder. You should not keep platform xml backups in the same data folder. LB will try to read them. This has caused numerous issues like missing data, missing games and such. LB creates its own backups of these files in a dedicated folder.

Good Morning,

I figured out what caused it.   I did a restore to my main drive (C) due to an issue with the OS. My Launchbox installation is on my F drive which is a 12TB external drive.    However the backup had a launchbox installation on it and when I re-booted, everything pointed to the C and not the F drive from my backed up desktop shortcuts.  The C drive installation didn't have PopCap and OpenBor listed. I installed them at a later date.

The issue has been resolved.  Thank you for your assistance.
