This is my first startup theme that I’ve work on. I use Viking's COLORFUL Theme Dark for my Launchbox setup and I wanted a startup theme that uses the same colours, so I made this.

Features:
Big system logo on the left side
Developers logo in the bottom right corner
Load-bar and background uses the same colour as “COLORFUL platform video set”

Install:
Unzip the “StartingTheGame-Dark.zip” to your “..\Lunchbox\StartupThemes\“ folder. In Launchbox/BigBog select StartingTheGame-Dark as your startup theme and your good to go.

Updating:
If you are using 1.0 or 1.01 please close launchbox/bigbox. Delete the startup theme and install the new one. On future release it should be fine to just extract and replace

* Uses the default colour, will be updated once it's added to the COLORFUL platform video set.

Todo:
Add more Dev logos. About 200 logos so far, so there's a long way to go.
Add more Platform unique startups.

Versions:
StartingTheGame-Dark.zip and StartingTheGame-Dark-NoLogo.zip are both meant for 16:9 screens. The NoLogo version has the clearlogo removed. And then there's the StartingTheGame-Dark-16-10, us this one if you are using a 16:10 screen.

Not sure if anyone can help but the only issue I have is when I leave a game the graphic says 'hank you for playin'

 

Is there anything I can do to sort it?

Sounds like you may be using a custom Startup Theme.  

If so,
Go to /LaunchBox/StartupThemes/
Go into the folder of the startup theme you're using
Open [in any text editor] Default Shutdown.xaml
Near the bottom, you should see a line that starts with <TextBlock
On that line will (should?) be Text="hank you for playin"
Add the T and g accordingly
Save and close that file.

If not, then that's a whole 'nother issue.

Which version did you download?

I've just had a look and its shows as 'Thank you for playing' in the .xaml file. I downloaded the current 1.1.5 version and im using it on colourful - dark 2.03 by viking.

K. Well the current 1.1.5 version has 6 variants to choose from. Sometimes when creating/transposing code, something like a T and g might get accidentally left off.

Regardless, the one you downloaded and use on your system sounds to have the text correct.

Which means the text is getting cut off.  On (or just below) that same <TextBlock line, try changing the FontSize to a [little bit] smaller value.  e.g. if its "38", try using "34" or "32".

Interesting that the text is getting cut off. I'm not home until next week, but I'll upload a fixed version if you like. 😊 

By the way. Would anyone be interested in a update to this start-up theme? Add more platforms?

Yeah, when submitting/uploading something, you only [automatically] get notified of posts from the main download page. For the Support page (this one), even though you're the submitter, you need to subscribe to this page to get notifications.
