slydog43
Doesn't seem to download any media for my roms. I see no "Sega Dreamcast" folder under my images folder. I assume its because I have my roms in chd format. How can I tell launchbox to search for chd media files. JoeViking245
The Images folder (I'm pretty sure) gets created with the Platform. So I assume you have a Platform (vs a Playlist or Category) named Sega Dreamcast. As for them being in chd format, that doesn't matter. The metadata and media downloader is looking at the Platform name and game Title(s). Also, you'll want to make sure the Platform is set to scrape as "Sega Dreamcast". It looks at that too. If all above is good, select one of the games in your Sega Dreamcast Platform, then hit Ctrl+A to select them all. Then in Tools, select Update Metadata and Media for Selected Games. JoeViking245
Oh snap! I feel stupid. Keep forgetting there's an Android version. I'll do better at looking at the forum section I'm in before replying in the future. 😊
slydog43
no problem, thanks for trying to help. Android seems to be fairly far behind the windows version (rightfully so). Hopefully many options get added/fixed. Just trying to report possible bugs. I will be getting more android devices soon (odin) so I want this to continue maturing.

slydog43
Yes they imported, but they are all listed under all games (no sub categories like other systems), and under sega dreamcast - > all games--> my games are listed but without wheel art or cover art. They do launch and run fine though. I see jason suggested turning on debug and look at the logs, that is what I will try now. slydog43
Here is the log created after trying to dl the missing media for dreamcast. slydog43
I have also discovered that the issue doesn't have anything to do with chd's (I tried cue & bin with same results). This should make it easy to replicate for everyone. How about a tool to move over data from PC install to android??
slydog43
Dreamcast (not sure about others yet) is not showing all my clipart that I have manually put in place (images/ Sega DreamCast/ Clear Logo - Full, etc images have exact same name as the rom file. Anyone know why they are not showing up. Box art is showing up, but logos are not. Thanks PS. I tried shortening the image name like the text on the menu (ie without the (US)etc, but that had no effect). I can't figure this out. I have gone through my other systems and they all work except SNK Neo Geo Pocket (color works though). Hope this helps find the error. This already exists in Launchbox, highlight all your dreamcast games with CTRL-A and head to tools/export to android, click next then click "export selected games only" Choose the image types you want, And finally where you want to export to (if your device is connected to your PC then this can be directly to the device) Hope this helps while the issue is investigated.
Jason Carr
@slydog43 It looks like all your game titles contain version numbers on them for some reason, which is probably the reason for the issue. What do your imported file names look like?
slydog43
of course you are correct Jason, when I removed the version from filename like 102 Dalmatians - Puppies to the Rescue v1.001 (2000)(EIDOS)(NTSC)(US)[!] to 102 Dalmatians - Puppies to the Rescue (2000)(EIDOS)(NTSC)(US)[!] it imports fine and grabs all the clipart, yeah!! wondering if i could put the version inside of () and it would work, will try later. Yes this works great 102 Dalmatians - Puppies to the Rescue (v1.001)(2000)(EIDOS)(NTSC)(US)[!] Thanks Edited November 25, 2021 by slydog43
