Feature request : filter file extension

Hi, I'm trying the licenced Android version of Launchbox and so far, I love it. There is one important feature that is missing : the ability to exclude some files when importing games. For example, my Turbografx CD folder is full of .ogg files and Launchbox added them all in my TG-CD library, where all I wanted was the .cue files. There are so many files that I cannot remove them all manually. It would be nice to be able to tell Launchbox to only include some file extensions (like .iso, .cue, .zip, etc.) when importing games.

Thank you for answering, but I'm not sure I understand. When I import games, there is no search bar, the wizard only allows me to select a folder. What am I missing here ?

Unless you're saying I should import all the files, then search for the cue files once the playlist is generated ? It means I would have to do it every time I want to play a TG-CD game ?

In the import wizard you have options to either import from a folder, or select a bunch of files. You would use the option to browse for files, not the folder option.

Thats not available in the Android version though, which is where this post is, you just get the option to import a folder on Android, and all files in that folder are pulled in.

Duh, thanks. Whoops. Yeah, we're going to add something to Android to solve this soon.

Hello, Happy New Year !! Soooo any update on this filter feature request. It is needed so badly and this post is a year old now. I hate having to skip thru all the raw files, isos and everything else to get to the next game. Very ugly selection interface. I get it that there are workarounds but it's not convenient to move large amounts of files around on my Nvidia shield. All the file management programs I've used so far are just not as functional as on a PC.

Also, do you think we can get launchbox 9n Android to not have to reboot every time we turn on our mouse. A complete database re-check seems so unnecessary everytime Launchbox decides it wants to reboot for this and other random reasons 🤦

the problem in my case doing this, is that always a default path is seleted by default no matter if importing separated roms, for some reason if I add any file to that path lauchbox starts detecting changes and importing all

Just curious. This thread was about Android specific imports. Since this post a number of features were included to help situations like the OP out.
