Yes, there are many people who have TeknoParrot on their builds. It is not a difficult emulator to set up, but there are a few things you need to do in order to get it working properly.

Lots of users do. Tekno is a lot easier now that it used to be. Lots of games can be run without any additional loader.

Then you are doing something wrong. this is the way.

Use teknoparrotUI.exe
Launch with --profile:flag with %romfile%.xml variable
be sure the games are setup and the "roms" you added are kept in the teknoparrot/Userprofiles folder

I'm super new to all of this, but I was able to piece enough together on YouTube on how to setup several Teknoparrot games on Launchbox.  Some of them are a little quirky (I jumped through hoops to get Golden Gun to run on full screen), but once they're set up and everything is mapped through Teknoparrot, you'll be good to go.  Also, like the post above me mentions, make sure you're using teknoparrotUI.exe and that the roms you're adding are in the teknoparrot user folder.  Lastly, make sure you have the correct .xml file selected.
