Latch
I've imported simple 64 as my default emulator in LB, but when I go to run a game via LB it will only open the emulator and not the game, I then have to manually select a game I want to play via Simple64's emulator 'run' setting. Is there a setting I am missing or is this emulator not a good match as its already a front end GUI for MUpen64?
JoeViking245
./simple64-gui --help Usage: ./simple64-gui [options] ROM Options: -h, --help Displays help on commandline options. --help-all Displays help including Qt specific options. -v, --verbose Verbose mode. Prints out more information to log. --nogui Disable GUI elements. --test <number_of_frames> Run debug tests. Arguments: ROM ROM to open. Try adding the --nogui option to the command-line parameters.

Just tried that pal and nothing happened, the emulator doesn't open a game or (obviously) display. Is there an option somewhere that I am missing? I added the emulator the same way as I have every other emulator and they all work fine, click a game, loads the emu and launches the game, but this one loads the emulator and then I have to manually select a game via the emulator, ignoring the game I chose in launchbox. skizzosjt
prove to yourself you are using the proper commands by launching a game with the emulator directly from the command prompt. this will take LaunchBox out of the equation. if it's not launching a game from the command prompt it suggests you are not using proper commands correctly. if it does in fact launch a game OK directly from the command prompt, then it makes sense to look closer at LaunchBox settings.
Retro808
Probably share an image of the Details and Associated Platforms tab when you edit the emulator. Just set this up to test and works fine launching games.
k_rollo
I was able to set up simple64 just fine today as default emulator for N64 in LaunchBox. Pressing Esc correctly exits the emulator too using the --nogui option. Thanks @JoeViking245 I think most of the problems people encounter is that they did not learn how to set up standalone emulators first before using any frontend. This is why they do not know how to troubleshoot.
