How to insert Playstation 2 core on Launchbox through Retroarch

Hi everyone, I'm trying to put the ps2 core into launchbox through retroarch, but even though I already have its core installed correctly in retroarch, it doesn't recognize it when adding the emulator. Is there any way to enter it? My goal is to only use Retroarch via Steam with all emulators, this is possible?

I'm curious if you found out how to do this. When adding my PS2 roms it does not have LRPS2 as an option in the dropdown.

You won't see "LRP23" in LB drop down as it uses the core file name which is:

Thank you. That worked.

Edit: For the record (in case someone else stumbles on this with the same issue) I was not able to select the core pcsx2 from the core dropdown when adding a game. I had to go into Tools > Manage > Emulators and then enter in "Sony Playstation 2" (how I have it titled on my folder) and then I was able to select pcsx2_libretro core.
