Ultrakill (PC) - Extremely fast, heart beating adrenaline shooter game where blood is fuel. Garou: Mark of the Wolves (Neo Geo) - One of the best fighting games that I always go back to. Mario Strikers Charged Football (Wii) - One of the best Wii games in my opinion. Very fun to pick up and play. Metal Gear Solid (PS1) - Hideo Kojima absolutely cooked a 5 star course with this. Dan Patrick
My Top 5 The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Metroid Prime (technically the switch remaster is better but I'm nostalgic for the gamecube cover) Super Mario World Portal 2 Chrono Trigger For Mario Zelda and Metroid there are several entries that could work. My close pics for these series are: Zelda: Ocarina of Time, A link to the Past, Twilight Princess, Wind Waker, Breath of the Wild Mario: 3, World, 64, Galaxy, Odyssey Metroid: Super Metroid, Prime, Zero Mission Others that arenβt my personal favorite of all time but have a decent chance in a list like this that Iβd be happy to seeβ¦ Half Life 2 (better than 1 imo) or Portal 1 Skyrim/Fallout 4/New Vegas not sure which Forza Horizon 5 Final Fantasy 7 or 9 Β or some other FF An indie game like Hollowknight or Celeste or Dead Cells or something. Street fighter 2 or Tekken 3 or MVC 2 idk, Burnout 3 Something from Rockstar. I'd probably say RDR2 Tony Hawk 2 or 3 or SSX3 maybe idk. Doom 1 /2 Β / 2016 / Eternal IDK Metal Gear Solid 1 or 3 are super high up for me Dragon Quest 11 Ok last edit, I wasn't thinking of arcade games...Galaga, and Ms PacMan are my 2 I always think of. Resident Evil 4 You have to strike that balance of Nintendo which has to be there in some capacity. Valve to me should have 1 game of the 5. I think at least one game needs to be an RPG no question. I lean more JRPG but Bethesda/BioWare etc are also up there. If you only have one Nintendo game it needs to be Mario World imo. ChuckP
Super Contra (Arcade) - I watched a guy beat this on ONE quarter and one man at Aladdin's castle I was assistant manager at. I was determined to do the same. I eventually did. Thats why this is my top choice. Super Mario World (Super Nintendo) - I bought this for my kids and fell in love with it also. Galaga (Arcade) - The very first cheat I learned about was on this game at Putt Putt Golf. Asteroids (Arcade) - I got very good at this game and could play for hours. Pepper II (Colecovision) - The first console I ever bought with my own money and this was one of the carts that came with it. Drewmot
It's difficult to narrow almost 40 years of games down to a top 5, but here goes in no particular order!Β 1. Super Breakout - Atari 5200 - one of the first games that really grabbed my attention growing up, and still hasn't quite let go!Β 2. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past - Super Nintendo - Wonderful adventure through the exciting world of Hyrule!Β Colorful and a very memorable soundtrack!Β 3. Super Metroid / Castlevania Symphony of the Night - Super Nintendo - (It's a tie, but they go so well together) Great (re)playability, story, and the relentless hunt to find everything!Β The reason for Metroidvanias!Β 4. Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver - Playstation One - Very engaging, cinematic story through Nosgoth!Β This game had great voice acting, animation, mood, atmosphere, music . . . 5. Halo: Reach - Xbox 360/Xbox One - Loved the original Halo games, but this one I played for days and days and days.Β First game I actually worked on speed running and became fairly proficient in multiplayer!Β Honorable mentions to Final Fantasy 7 - X, Tekken 3, Street Fighter 2 (all of them), Marvel Super Heroes, and Soul Calibur!Β Hundreds of THOUSANDS of fights!!!
